Ditto, no one believes me that just an intake makes that kinda noise. my baby (the lancer) is starting to sound like a big girl now! i just need exhaust, pulleys, piggyback, springs, braces, ignition, turbo, yada, yada, etc.

Drop-in filters. Ones that replace the paper filter in the stock airbox (the stuff K&N got famous selling, if that helps).

Drop in filters are a waste of $. Buy one but you will not see any real improvement. Don't get your hopes up on that.

Thought I'd add my own video clip of the intake sound, only this one is on a manual GTS. The video isn't that great of quality, but I did it on my phone so it's not to bad. I did a pull from a complete stop, even though it shows that I'm going 10 mph. In case you can't tell, it was a 0-110 mph. Just make sure to turn up your speakers so you can really here the meanness and intense sound from the intake. Enjoy

The only thing Works cares about if getting your money into their bank account. Just because they sell it does NOT mean it will make your car better/faster/stronger. It just means they found a customer.

You have multiple people telling you that a panel drop-in filter will not make power. If you still choose to buy one, then enjoy it.

I couldn't agree more with Sheep's statement. I wouldn't rely on anything certain companies say or there products. It seems to me that companies that post threads and don't respond for like a month or two on there progress are just blowing smoke up peoples a$$ and are trying to get people not to buy from there competitors. If you get my drift. A drop in filter is exactly that a drop in filter not a performance upgrade. But some companies like RRM are up to date and on the ball for there customers. So........ If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it's a damn duck.

Exactly. I think that the only reliable info comes from customers. Its hard to know who is a customer and who is affiliated with the company.
