Is it just me or do these things sound like they are sucking in way too much air, like they arent sealing properly? could be the computer videos ( I havent had the chance to see one installed) but the sound on these kinda creeps me out...

does the RRM Intake filter come pre-oiled or is it a dry type filter? I have heard that the oil type filters can ruin the MAF and get the intake tube all cruddy. Especially with the intake pipe only being a straight tube that is a few inches long. I know Aem sells a new filter called like a dry senthetic filter, would it be better to use one of those?

Pulled it out of the box and rubbed my hand on it, feels dry to me.

You could always just buy a new filter.

i'm glad to hear that it is a dry filter. does that mean it can still be cleaned using mild soap and water? does that also mean that any oil should not be put back on it? I will most likely just buy a new filter but if i can buy one and wash it once and then buy a new one then that is half as many filters to buy. I feel like a washed filter is still not going to be nearly as good as a new one no matter how you clean it. and for the peace of mind on a new car i feel like buying a new filter is worth it.

Then take your car for a ride and listen to it scream
I didn't disconnect my cable when I installed. It works fine but should I still disconnect the cable to reset the ecu, or will it learn the new air flow?
