so will the dead from this motor work?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-9...item4cedb17d7c

if it does than its cheaper to buy the whole motor here than ordering it from out of country..

.........fits easier to a 1.8L/2.0L bottom? ....clears the hood?
or just better because of aftermarket support?

I am running this setup however i have not completed building it. I have CP pistons to suit 4G92 head and 4G94 block and H-beam rods to suit. As far as the build goes i dont think i can get ready until mid year.

I would not even use the stock 4G92 Mivec management, it already needs a few alterations when using on a 4G93 1.8 block, definately run a 255lph pump, injectors are fine. I am going to use a DIYPNP on my set up which is already built up and ready to be bolted on pics tonite

I honestly dont see the benefit in doing this swap when the cost of parts and shipping alone will run you over a grand and then you still either do it yourself or come out of the pocket more to have a shop do it. Not to mention that if you break something, good luck finding a replacement part to get your car running again.
108 or 110 HP for $1500 (aprox) not a wise investment.
Dont think I'm bashing you or something. I KNOW what it feels like to have people doubt a swap you're undertaking and no one has done before. Been there, done that. But doing a G64 swap vs. this is by far a better alternative all the way around.
My whp was at 164 and that was untuned with 182 ft/lbs of torque...and BELIEVE ME, that 164 feels ALOT more than what it is thanks to the torque! OMG!!
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/la...02-lancer.html
then if your are still hell bent on doing a DOHC swap...the G63 head is your Holy Grail. I dont think I need to say more on that.

I mean the G94 is rated at 120hp @ the crank...which transfers to what, like 100 at the wheels? come on...really? I'm just looking out for the average tuner that WANTS to wrench but doesnt have the funds to do a GINORMOUS swap that requires the same amount of money.

You are lucky that you live over seas...you have ALOT more options than we do. For that I envy you...but its not THAT big of a deal.
Gains from the DOHC head alone is 20-26HP atw

Some are shared by the SOHC head, they are also readily available if you know where to look.

The gains are more of course if you increase compression, block and head preperations. The head is obviously not made for a 1.8l or 2.0l but abit of prep work will make it work wonders

I will make 3 motors and i will tell you exactly how far it will go, it has a lot of potential than people think however most is discouraged because they cannot find the parts they are after.

OK I have been looking to get more hp out of my OZ I want 160HP NA at least, i still want it as a daily driver... but a fun daily driver.

I looked at the RA and other engine swaps, then i came across this... wow i had a 98 Elantra with DOHC and it had a little more umph to it so i wanted a DOHC in my OZ... but was discouraged at the difficulty of it, this thread has me wanting to sell a kidney or 2 to get this mod started. I was looking into port & polish, cams, ECU tune, etc. but this makes those soo much better, if we get that much of a gain from bolt ons, i mean its seeming more and more possible to get that 160HP with less work.

the number 160 comes from my buddies teasing me about my Dorothy (my OZ) they have Tc and slightly modified 3rd gen eclipses and hondas... so i wanted to get to that number to compete with them, i figured that is a decent enough range to compete but not be totally race.

Sorry if some of that ranting sounds noobish, im more of a Classic american car type guy, raised as a chevy boy, but fell in love with my OZ and im trying to get used to the imports scene, so any advice would really help me.

Thanx in advance
