Vacuum hose kinking

The "U" shaped hose that i changed always gets kinked no matter what i do. I've extended it and did the following on the picture. Does this cause any bad effects or mess with anything when it gets kinked?

a closer look. this is what i did now to reduce the kinking, its not as bad as putting the hose shaped as an "U".

If you want to stop the kinking, go to your local hardware store and see if they sell springs. I found at one place a spring that was 2 ft long that i could cut down to fit the vacuum hose snugly. Bring a piece of the tubing youre using with you so you can find the right size.

Problem fixed.

That same happend too me and my check engine light came on after 10 miles of driving the car. I finally figured out that it was that one that was causing the problem. Took it off and still the check engine light was on so i disconnected the battery and that fixed everyhing.

I went to a true value hardware. they had all different size spring stock. If you don't have any little hardware stores you can always try home depot or lowes. This is great for any hose that makes a sharp bend or u-turn.
