That's exactly how I look at it. I certainly regret spending what is probably over 8k$ on my lancer (not including the parts not installed), I'd be crazy not to, but I also learnt a lot which you can't really put a price on. When I first started here I was like a typical noob, I wanted huge rims, huge body kit, intake, exhaust, etc. but now I'd like to think I've moved past my ricer days and I'm actually a reasonably knowledgeable car guy.

Pete, did you not read the thread? If I can afford it I'll be moving to a WRX. Also, if you're not going to contribute (ie. say anything useful even negative) would you mind keeping it to yourself? You might be happy with your lancer but I'm not happy with mine, especially since I don't even have AC.

Amby, I have a/c but hardly use it because it drains power and gas but I'm just curious, why don't you have it? You take it out for weight reduction?? lol, that is the only thing I can think of.

It didn't come with it. I also don't have power windows, power locks, power mirrors or ABS.

Youre right. I take back my statement.

Regardless, of all of this... I LOVE my Lancer.
I think its the most kickass thing in the world. I know its not really, but for me it is. Id like to get alot of HP out of it, but I dont race, so I dont care too much, as long as its fun to drive.

All this makes me wonder however... (this is kinda off-topic)
Whats gonna become of the 2008 in 3-5 yrs?
What flaws will we be discussing/arguing about then?
Cus for now, its the new hottness, as were the '03 at their advent,
and as Blacksheepdj mentioned; it may be purchased for reasons like
having "Rally Heritage".. etc.
I wonder what the future dissapointments will be?

You live in canada thats really kinda like me complaining about not having a heater, socal never even hits the 40s.

I am being constructive, i told you to turbo ur car, ur saying u want to get rid of it. The topic here wasnt about what car u should get but about ur dyno, which is depressing though i think not an accurate representation of ur cars power.

That is rough. Sell the car. If you want to stay in the mitsu family then get the new lancer or wait for the ralliart or Evo. If you sell the car now, you are always going to wonder what it would have been like to drive it with a turbo so I'm not sure... Maybe you should turbo it and if it's still not fun to drive then sell it.

Canadian summers are surprisingly hot. It's been in the 20s for a while (70s) and it hits the 30s (90s) regularly. Last summer there was days where my car got so hot I literally had a stream of sweat going down my leg driving home.

Well the AWD is certainly a big factor but I also just like subarus, both my mom and my sister have one and they've been amazing, very reliable and fun to drive.

The WRX TR Sedan in white looks so clean. Equip it with 18in gold SSR comp. or gram light wheels, lower suspension, tint and red recaros and you have one of the nicest looking rides on the road imo. Now you got me considering it!!!
