Amby's dyno day

I think the only difference is it comes with a sport-tuned exhaust and it doesn't have the premium sound package that the WRX sedan has. I'm not positive though. The TR sedan is also $1,000.00 cheaper than the regular WRX sedan.
Was just looking at pictures of the two and the interior is also different. The WRX sedan has nicer seats and sharper interior than the TR.

Well well...Yes, that is sad to look at that dyno and read those numbers. I'm not going to sit here in disbelief and say it was wrong. I do think other things could have made the numbers look better (A tune, your piggyback on) but in the end, for what you spent the numbers are still sad. But its whatever you know? Like most of us, we were young, needed a car and a "Lancer" was new. The OZ Rally sounded bad *** and we didn't know what we know today (most of us).
Me personally, I know I'm not going to be a HP monster. Hell, I'm coming up on 91K and still would love to boost but I know that might not be a good decision unless I also get a ported head. Soooo...yeah. I don't think I'll be boosting unless I get it soon and for cheap. Bright side for me? Well, I should have less than a year left in payments and by having this as my first car I've learned sooo much about cars. Just from this Lancer and this site I have something that is going to last me the rest of my life (which is the bug for modding, a love for cars, and an appreciation for them). I think that counts for me. Besides, my Lancer is good to me, no complaints at 91K. I think I'll be keeping it unless a killer deal comes along.
Whoever said something about a Scion TC...NO. Yes, it may have more HP than a Lancer and be "nicer" than a Lancer but as far as the 160 HP cars go (SI, Ralliart, Spec-R, Mazda 3...) it is the Lancer. You gotta dump money in that thing to make it go fast (which is a turbo) and as far as suspension...you might as well hang it up.
As far as you go Amby...good luck in what you decide. I'd love for you to keep it
but I understand you not seeing anything right now. I'd look at an Altima coupe (Doesn't that thing have the VQ?) and it starts at 20K, a Colbalt, SI, SRT-4 Neon, Mazda speed, GTI or a Ralliart COLT
(I wish they would bring those things over. They are kinda cool)

You might want to consider something with a small block Chevy v8. Hell, you can build a 400hp/400tq motor for a fraction of what you put into your old. Just a suggestion to ponder before you knee-jerk and might make a mistake again.
The MODS really add up on a motor like this compared to a small jap motor. Again, just a thought...

amby, you can probably pick up a used WRX for pretty cheap. my friend has one and he got a pretty good deal on it ($14k with under 40k miles i think it was)... well, once they added in all the negative equity on his tiburon he was trading in he was still out about $20k, haha.
it's my understanding that there aren't evos in canada because they didn't do well dollar damage-wise in crash tests, is this true?
