DRL answer

You CANNOT shut the DRLs off. I work for a dealer and own a new 08 GTS. We hooked it up to the MUT this weekend. To shut them off. Because I want HIDs too. It wouldn't work. So we checked all the TSBs on the car. There is one TSB that says the DRLs cannot be shut off. Just for everyones info.

Guess the folks talking about switching the headlight and foglight wiring are about the only ones getting HIDs...

Give it time. I have faith in Rob and the rest of the RRM team.

This would be the second Mitsu Employee to tell us that the ECU will Not allow the drl removal. I doubt RRM will have much luck other than a diffrent way around besides the Fogs. (not saying i doubt their abilities....)

Could you leave the DRL bulb harness unplugged, then wire the HID's to the foglights. Then run a seperate switch to the foglights, and control them manually?
I know the computers are finnicky, but this might work? (If you feel like having a seperate switch of course)

I work for a dealer too, we just tried yesterday to shut mine off in the EVO with the mut3. Doesn't work as stated above the only other thing we are going to try is pulling the relay.

woa I thought this thread was dead.

I ended up splicing into the parking lights. Works like a charm to get rid of those DRL's

same here, i did it up under the plastic protector so now theres only an extra plug that hangs out for the ballasts. almost looks like its suppose to be there.
