HAHAHAHAHAAH, that's priceless... You call an s2k a chick car, but you'd rather have the boxter? I can't remember the last time I saw a guy driving one of those things. I really bet you've never even driven an s2000, or you wouldn't be hating on them so much.

How is the cayman even related to this, we're talking about convertibles... In any case, I think you need to check your sources on what a chick car is... I've seen maybe 2 girls driving s2k's, and all the rest were men. I know more girls that own evos than that, so I guess the evo is a chick car by your standards

It's a chevy, let's get real. The S2000 is a 250HP (JDM) NATURALLY ASPIRATED CAR. The year it was released it was the highest BHP NA car ever put in production at 120hp/liter. Why is faster always better? This cheap excuse for a chevy sports car badged by Saturn is junk. Great power-plant that should have been saved for a track car that could utilize it. This car doesn't even TOUCH the grace, handling, and sexy lines of the S2k. It's not about power, it's about BALANCE. One day Chevy will understand that... it's almost like Corvettes are built on another planet. Christ, ONE GOOD CAR. That's IT!

Sorry, huge rant. Some one will argue with me, but this is only my opinion.

Ok well then let me rephrase myself.. the only convertible that i would waist my money on would be a vette (not including supercars obviously). The cayman and boxer are basically the same car. im not a fan of convertibles so thats the car i would pick, there not that far off in price either (boxer, cayman). where i used to live in SW Florida for every 5 S2K's at least 3 were girls and 1 was a 55+ year old man and the final one was a guy in his mid 30's most likely in a mid-life crises. You can say an EVO is a girls car all you want and i wont get all butt-hurt like you guys do. S2K's fit the honda profile thats another reason why i dont like them: 90% of them are built for looks and the other 10% just pump loads of money into it to try and run 12's... just like a civic... Pathetic

No I was referring to the S2k @ $33k and Cayman S at "just" $58.9k. Almost double. Porsches are awesome, but for 60k, I BETTER get a good car. The Cayman S, Boxster, etc...are not even in the same Category as the S2k and Sky-Redline-will blow up before I get there-wish I didn't suck-car.

LOL. Sorry for the confusion, I know the Boxster and Cayman are close. Thank you for asking for clarification.

People build s2k's for looks because they're content with the power they come with... I put an exhaust on my s2k, and guess what, I didn't care if it made power, I just wanted more noise. And yeah, they are just like civics... RWD, 2 seater, convertible, hand-built, 9000 rpm civics... Exactly like a civic And the s2000's that are made to be drag cars are running mid 10's, not 12's.

But yeah, corvettes are much better cars. It's not like they have pop up lights, or leaf springs, or the crappiest interior on earth. They aren't even much faster than and s2000 in a straight line.

I'm done with you, you've just voided your opinion by claiming a corvette convertible to be a better car than an s2000. Get your facts straight rather than talking out your ***.

The C5 convertible will run 13.3s all day with an Autotranny and trap around 108. The S2ks run HIGH 13s and low 14s with 100-101mph traps.

I am a Honda guy, I LOVE THEM. I OWN THEM. But the S2k can't compete with a C5, or a C6 in FACTORY TRIM. The corvette is 2-3mph faster in the slalom, a second faster down the freeway, and retarded around a corner (.97gs compared to .95 in the S2k), even as a convertible.

Before you get mad, let me state:

This SHOULD be the way it is. The Corvette Convertible is almost 60k, the S2k is only 30k-33k. For the additional 20k there BETTER be something improved. And with 20k in the pocket, the S will run circles around the Vette.

I guess my numbers may have been off then... I'm aware the corvette is going to be faster in a straight line, but it isn't much faster, and s2000 is definitely not a highway car. However, I have to say that regardless of skidpad numbers, in a real life situation corvettes can't keep up in the turns. One of my good friends has a c5 z06, and when we go on runs up the local mountain he just can't keep up, even with my friend's stock s2k. They can hold on the skidpad, but link two turns together and they get lost.

I agree 100% with you.. there is so much out there for 60k and honestly i couldnt bring myself to pay that much for a car with just mediocre power... but also on the flip side 33k isnt exactly cheap. all im saying that is if your buying a car for performance the S2K isnt the car that will immediatly pop into your head. but if your into the convertable thing then the S2K will be an excellent choice. but then if you buy it for that reason then your in a whole new category. and have no reason to compaire it to just plain faster cars.

Boxster*..... i just realized i have been spelling that wrong

The corvette WILL DESTROY a S2K in EVERY aspect so dont even go there. all you are is a ricer that could afford a S2K. why would you throw a 1k+dollar exhaust on your car for 5-10WHP if that? S2K's are NOT made for 10's. there are what, 2 s2k's runnning 10's? so dont even touch that subject!

Your out there bro

Power isnt everything.

But apparently it is to you, so it's best that you stick to your econobox w/ a turbo and those awesome recaros, you don't understand the S2000 or let alone the idea of vehicle balance.
