Heck... I just got my 9 model... I would have to stick with it mainly because I owe 25 grand on the darn thing, lol... Then again I change cars about every 12 monthes it seems like. I think I should try my hardest to just hang on to this one, though. I also have plans for it. I would hate to invest in it and then get rid of it, ineviteably losing money.

 

JDM,JDM,JDM and this is not JDM. Evos were cars from the JDM Market that we wanted. And now that we have it we shouldn't try to fix what isn't broken with this design. This is just DSM part 2 except it won't be as successful as the first time.

 

I just sold my Evo IX. I have a full exhaust for sale now. It's a Helix V2 downpipe, Ultimate Racing test pipe, and Perrin oval catback muffler. I'm deploying in Feb'08 and the Evo X should be here when I get back hopefully. I'll probably trade in my WRX for it.

i won't be doing any selling or trading in here. i think the new model looks horrible.

 

I will not trade my evo 9 in because
I can currently use evoscan and ecuflash to tune my car. with the X who knows if software will be available to tune it.
2nd, this is the first time it will be with the new aluminum block. I rather wait and see if they have not missed anything in their design.
Why loose money doing the swap, the X will be around 40 grand.

 

i wont trade my car. i want to pay it off and start modding heavily and compete with the new X.

 

Im not a fan of the X but it might change if I see it in person but I doubt it I think Ill keep my VIII

 

i'd buy a X, but i won't give up my IX MR for one

 

damn i need to buy one to trade for another,,,,any would do 8, 9, or 10

 

Only time will tell once people start modding them, and seeing if they are as good as the 4g63 platform.

It appears that Mr. Razor4ever seemed to have a problem with my post about him being objective. Let me clarify what I was talking about. I was noting (in not so many words) that this thread was about whether or not people would be trading in their current body style of EVO for the 2008 EVO X, as opposed to a thread for people who drive an "Si" to throw out off topic statements which have nothing to do with the thread. Sorry if I offended you, sir.

 

When i bought the 9, i did not want a dodge neon, when i had RX7's i did not want a dodge neon, and I still dont want a dodge neon, the X is out of the question.

 

Im definitely prepared to buy this monster. Hopefully its equipped with the TECH package..thats the other 50% reason for me to buy it. Thats the only car im considering trading in the Z for now.
