No way would i get rid of my IX for a Dodge Caliber based vehicle!

 

all this bashing wait till it comes out and pulls on the side of you. Your 9 will look old and your going to trade your car in. We always want the new and better and thus this will happen. You guys don't even know how well this car will do as of now. Evyeroen said the same about the eight with the triangle nose and how ugly it was yet people still bought it.

The future is here people so jump on it.

 

I like the paddle shifter so I would buy Evo X and keep my Evo IX MR. Again, it depends how the spec and the price on Evo X is. Also, I would wait for a year or more to see how they are.

 

I'm not trading in anything till my IX is too old or broken.. I mean the X isn't going to come out and the world have turbo kits, cams, power packages etc for it. There's going to be a time where the X wont be able to be modded or at least go online and buy something for it. I'm just going to sit back for a couple of years and make my IX as bad *** as possible and when the X can get some where near it's performance, I might then get a X. Until then, I see no need to buy a X, that's just my opinion.

I want to see what the car is capable of before making any decisions. I was skeptical about mivec, but it's obvious that it has been a positive for the 4g63. Let's see what the new motor can do.

 

IMO- X's look like a turd. Mitsu has fled too far from the "Evolution" design. As did Nissan with the GTR, they went from looking like a tuner car to looking like an exotic spaceship. Spaceshi t, more like it. But All...IMO. If i like it when i drive it, I will more than likely get it as a grocery getter...or to pick up kids from space camp.

i have a bby evo 8 rite now and i am happy with the extoior look but not too happy about the interior. i am like 50/50 about trading my car in but def gonna see the evo x interior 1st. all evo 8 and 9 dash board look like cheap crap

 

I'm a sucker for interior refinements and comfort, but not at the expense of performance. I honestly am not overly fond of the new look. I just checked out the 2008 Lancer GTS at the dealership the other day. The X will have a little more agressive styling but I can''t say that it looks as mean as my VIII (which I'm extremely attached to). I'm going to wait and see what others say about it. At thet very least I'll wait a few years before I consider a trade.

 

the X will have better interior amenities and more of a luxury feel. so for people who think the current VIII and IX interior are too spartan, might prefer the new evo.

 

hopefully a few do prefer the new evo, so they can trade in there 8/9 so i can buy it

 

Seriously by looking at the new interior design of the X i think all the gauges and stuff will look rather out of place.

I like like the cheapo interior of IX and i think it's rather nice compared to X's

 

I will keep my VIII and slowly turn it into a dedicated road-racer. The X will become the new DD.
