I love my Evo X, the handling is amazing, the car is very quick, and styling is way better than the new STi. The downs the trunk is way to small tho small gas tank as well crappy gas mileage, but it is worth those sacrifices for me. I also got the SSS package.

 

I know this has probably been discussed but im really thinking to get rid of the 8 and get the X. Does anybody regret moving to the X? If you could go back would you? Need some imput thanks.

 

About the only thing I have is that I am in about the same position as you are. I think I would like to trade up to the X but at the same time, I love my VIII so much I just don't know if I can stand getting rid of it. I also thought about just getting an IX and sticking with the CT9A body and roots.

I love my 8 also man this is a tough decision

 

I had my evo 8 for a while and i loved it and i still love it. But the X is a better car IMO. I do miss the 8 from time to time, im not going to lie. but i don't regret it at all. The X is ALOT slower right now which really sucks, but i knew that going in to it.

Basically, I wish i had enough money to keep both of em.

I had an VIII, and loved it. I moved to the X....and never looked back! The X is in a whole different category.

Everything about the new X is an upgrade. No question about it. Drive one and see for yourself.

 

i miss my 8 really bad,it had 500whp,almost went to jail because of it,plus i had 20 points on my license from it.the 9 was alright.the x is horrible,it looks great but its just to heavy,runs rich as ever from the factory,not everybody has money for a tune.insurance is higher than the 9.I miss the rawness of the 8/9.the x is to luxury lol

 

I had an VIII and I do not regret it at al. Like some of the other guys said they miss it from time to time as so do I, But I the upgrade was well worth it. I thought the VIII had great handling untill I drove the X. The quickness isn't there in its stock form but that is an easy fix.

Actually, the insurance is cheaper. Because of the better crash rating with the airbags and all. I compared the insurance at state farm with my agent before I bought the car.

 

I upgraded from a 9 and don't regret it one bit! The X is a superior car in most aspects. Much better handling, safety, and daily livability. Of course, I only plan to do a few bolt ons and tune. The only thing I believe the old Evo's are better at are making crazy power, but if I wanted that I would have bought a Supra.
