JDM X RS is 220lbs heavier than a IX RS (3130lbs vs 2910lbs).

Now The Evolution X is the first EVo in the US comes 99% as every where else in the world. And doesn't come in the first time the RS in the USA.
Also the example i made that is mean the X GSR can be lighter then the IX RS without problem . Getting it?
SO about your link:
THE JDM RS X is 1420kg = 3136 lbs
The USDM IX RS is 1460kg = 3219 lbs

And that was the point i made. thanks.
Dont get me wrong guys, we are all family here......X has alot of capabilities, I just commented to mess with a buddy of mine that just got a 10 and is now hitting on us older EVO guys ! lol but my friends back home from Carrito.net just dialed in at 10.99 in their X !!! Thats awesome !!!!
Evo X's are sick PERIOD.
i dont have an evo and i never had one, but i drove a 2003 evo 8 that had about 400 wheel horse power, and that was an amazing ride, i then drove a evo x, wow, now its now lie that the modified evo 8 was faster but as far as handling, comfort, features, the evo x is the best, i was coming off the highway ramp doing 100 mph and it was scary, the car felt like it could take the ramp doing 200 if it could but i was scared to push farther, the x has AMAZING handling, now niether of them were my car but if i was gonna dump 30 grand into either one, the X is the one that's got my money, it actually drives, feels, looks, and has features that a 30 thousand dollar car should have. i only wrote this because i see threads that say how people would never trade their evo 8 or evo 9 for the evo x. there is absolutly no downside to the x from my point of view, im sure in the near future there will be mods to make a the evo x amazingly fast. thats my point of view, just thought i should put it on here since i was allowed by VEry nice people to drive these 2 amazing cars and do what i wish with them.

I completely disagree. The X is the first EVO I ever considered buying. I traded a WRX and, though it will not be popular, both the IX and the 06-07 WRXs were trapped in a design that went out years ago. The original EVOs (and WRXs for that matter) were cool in a way as they were so new at the time. Now they look dated and like riced versions of the base models. They are awesome cars, so don't get me wrong but for me, the X is the first one that fits me. The new EVO is a car I feel I can drive as a 30 yr old to the Hospital where I work without feeling like I stole a teenagers car.
Should they have made them lighter? not sure they could with the new safety standards....look around, all cars have gotten heavier and slightly larger due to this. The car is not as raw but who really wants to drive a race car to work all the time? If you want to make it a track car, you will change everything you are complaining about anyway.
The current car is an upgrade for looks and more versitile in what it can do for the owners....besides, it could be much much worse....have you seen the new Subarus??? They could have canceled the line altogether ala the Supra.

Oh yeah, my transmission doesn't give me problems either.
