Evo X vs. Evo VIII and IX
the X run under 11 sec, and there is not really the aftermarket support yet....
Sucks , right.
You wont waste your money on the X is a good thing. We dont like guys with this attitude on our meet anyway
the evo 5-6 and the VII -VIII- IX looks like to different car manufacturer made them.
They not even a same chaise . Back then the 5 guys said the same to the VII. But they are really quiet now.
You will have a lots of humbling experience in the near future my friend

i did edit this post of mine, because i put the wrong 1/4 mile number there as a 10 sec and meant 11
.

I must say that at first I was un-sure of the X , but after taking an Mitsubishi advance training course on the X I left there and got one a few days later . Now after owning one for the past 3 months or so , I've come to really be impressed by the car in many ways . First is the new motor , wow ! I cannot believe how much better it seems to be so far , having a new design motor I just wasn't sure even after learning all the in's and outs on the set-up . With few mods these cars are running some insane times with yet more and more to come . We made our 11 second run holding about 25lbs of boost and thats just crazy in my book . I can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring .
Love this car !!!!
Love this car !!!!
i was at a used car dealership and they had a evo 8 in the show room and an employee had a evo x outside, and there were bwm 7 series and mercedes amg models in the show room and 2 bmw's outside, and can you guess which to cars got the most attention from everyone at the dealer?? you know it THE EVOS truly sick when small mitsus get the attention over 100 thousand dollar german cars!!
I just can't get over the exterior to even consider buying one. I've sat in one and there is no doubt it's light years ahead of the EVO 8/9 in comfort and features. Just not my cup of tea.
Many of us IX owners do love the X. I like it alot. It isnt worth trading in my car for one though. The dealer may give me 24K for my low mileage, flawless condition IX and then I would have to take that $10K hit. The X is not a $10K upgrade over a IX. I'll keep my IX until the wheels fall off before I trade it foolishly. Now if you don't even own an Evo and you will be mostly concerned with "REAL" track performance and not so much drag-racing, then I can't see how one would choose the IX over a X. I think there are quite a few folks out there like me that refuse to trade because the CT9A chassis is still an awesome vehicle.
Oh yeah, my transmission doesn't give me problems either.

i sold my evo8 to get a x but iam still waiting for the 2009 models cause iam waiting for mitsu to fix all the bugs on the new car.
i bought in 1992 a bmw 325i e36 first production model and it had a lot of recalls and bugs so i swore myself not to ever buy a first production model.
as far as i read this evo x doesnt have so many problems but still ill wait till next year to buy mine.

I am impressed with how the X performs but i wouldnt trade my 8 for one. I rarely take the 8 to my fullest potential (and there still is a lot of room to learn) so taking a monstous hit price-wise, is a foolish in my books.
Personally the looks of the X doesnt quite do it for me......well the backend mostly.
