Yes, you are looking at a development vehicle for the 2016 Focus RS that has “Police” written on its front doors, or at least on the driver's door. The spelling you see here comes from Sweden, where the prototype is being tested these days.

Eh I disagree. Not a fan of the angles on the rear of the car. I like hatches a bit more bulbous.

I really hope they make a track version of the Focus RS with reduced weight and flared fenders. The stock one just doesn't do it for me.

I've driven a friends X a few times, it's similar to my 8 suspension wise. It doesn't really "feel" much heavier. It's not like getting into a 3700lb mustang. The chassis is good enough to hide the weight.

modern cars have been doing wonders in dealing with weight issues. the Evo X, STi, GTR, RS, and a few others perform pretty well, all things considered. the only reason i care is due to punishment the tires and brakes take if you are into tracking them (gets expensive).
i'd like to make my IX lighter, but i occasionally drive the car around town for fun, so i refuse to get rid of A/C, power windows, stereo, etc. i'm too old to suffer while driving. LOL. been there, done that. it's SO tempting, though.

My evo does not have AC or a radio and I do not miss them. I have a daily for driving to the store and listening to the radio. When I am in the Evo I have nothing to pay attention to but the road and the car. Exactly how I like it.
