yes, just find this picture and , it seems two radically different approach .

If I would have to pick now , I would have a hard time. I love the new one , and seems very promising, But the Escort is just have a sweet spot in my heart. I had one in white a bit over a year. I truly loved it.

The old is basically fully mechanical which makes it a bit closer to my driving style.
Cant wait to see, how the new one will drive.

Anyhow, I love the radical no compromise body style in the old one, and I have to say that is a downer so far for me with a new very average looking (compere to the rest of these type of cars) Body style.

I heard the USA version doesn't even have a hard shell Recaro option? I wonder if that is true.

You are correct. It comes with the same Recaros that the Fiesta ST and Focus ST get, just with different materials.

Those are real nice seats, but I don't get why they wont let to upgrade to the hard shell one.
Maybe they saving for a wide body version. In my dreams lol

I don't think any current production car has seats without airbags in the USA. Even the Porsche GT3/GT4 etc race buckets have airbags:
