Focus RS
Cause you've been too busy telling everyone why you think it won't be a good car.
not EVERYONE needs the RS to be full-blown race car to be "good car".
A/C? yes
all-wheel drive? yes
comfortable seats? yes
plenty of power to get out of it's own way? yes
warranty? yes
need i go on?
I asked what, if anything, people think will make the RS great. You describe what it takes to be a decent daily driver. If I want to go to the store, there are like 1000 cars better suited for that than the RS.
I thought we were talking about "performance" cars.

CTR ran the ring in March.
In June, the administration of the Nurburgring banned manufacturers from doing and advertising time laps. They can still test but they're not allowed to say "our car ran a 7:50 lap" any more.
Also, and I said this last time, the 'Ring is inherently well suited to a FWD car beating an AWD car. Most of the turns are wide open sweepers, so there's no gain from the AWD.
Why do I imagine nemsin is the guy at track days with the full Ralliart jacket and hat with Mitsubishi Motorsports and Makinen stickers on his car, but who also makes fun of the Corvette guys wearing Corvette flag hats and Jake Skull racing jackets, all while talking about Mitsubishi "Spirit of Competition" Motorsports all day long to anybody who will listen?

Ah, one of my favorite topics. The transverse leaf springs in the 'Vette were genius. Great roll control without requiring a lot of height. Pretty sure the C6 and C7 use all carbon fiber leafs.
But I'll let nemsin tell us how the Evo X's MacPherson struts are world beating design.

The Focus RS adds more torques and AWD. That's a promising start.
We'll probably never see another car like the CT9A Evos in terms of tuning or performance upside. There's too much competition, manufacturers aren't going to leave so much on the table.
The RS could be a great car, for me. If you don't like it, fine, don't buy it. You're ****ting in the punch bowl right now, though.
I'm beginning to think there are no "right"things to say to you. What, exactly, are you wanting people to say? I'm not being facetious, just curious because you argue every point anyone makes.
And those are the things that can make it great because, unlike most cars, it has the potential based on its specs to do all the things people like myself want in a daily driver very well, rather than a few things very well and some things very poorly. That's what I grew to dislike about my STI. It was very quick, had tons of grip, and could be taken to the track and driven home without a problem, but it was uncomfortable on long trips, had terrible mileage and little creature comforts.

I did lots of long trips in both and would definitely say its preferred for me over the evo 8/9 and about par with the X.
The RS will be cheap in a few years then we can all have some fun.
I then asked people that do like it, to explain why. I guess I should have clarified, why do people think it will be a good "performance" car?
I do not like the RS, I openly admit that. I think Ford played it too safe. I also think the Evo will be a better performance platform and have explained why I believe that.
