Ford Focus RS: the popular girl, the cheerleader, the honor roll student. Everybody wants her but the reality doesn't match the image. She is at her best at the beginning of your relationship.

Mitsubishi Evolution X: A body built for sin, she's a little unbalanced but life is never boring because she does one thing better than anyone, she's The Natural. You sacrifice everything because it's that good, you might not want to bring her home, but setting aside your better judgement you strap in for the ride. She is the car equivalent of sexual napalm. You want to do something really stupid? She's willing to give it her best shot.
Good summary, I'll be quoting this for years. And by the way, if you really want to know if any of these cars are any good you need to bring along the standard.

honestly of those 4 I'd probably go with the R or the FoRS (assuming I'm keeping my CT9A).

The EJ in the STI is too much of a downer, but also TBH I prefer the looks and utility hatch of the previous generation. I'd honestly like the X a lot more if it were a bit lighter and came with a manual 6 speed - the ratio on the 5 is awful for the highway. I'd take a X MR over the GSR for that reason.

The R is definitely the most refined of the cars, and that's probably what does it for me. The FoRS needs a little more time in the oven before it's ready for enthusiasts.

Question regarding the FoRS AWD system though - is there anything it can't do that AYC can, from a theoretical perspective? They say it can send 100% of the torque to either single rear wheel, in addition to sending 70% or whatever to the back. Obviously it still needs more refining, and I wouldn't be surprised to find a few evos in Ford's fleet as they continue tweaking the programming, but that should about cover the range of possibility of what any active rear differential can do right? Even if the execution itself is lacking for now.

Mitsubishi Evolution X: The best platform if you want to mod extensively.

I'd say the STi is what you buy if you're a fanboi... the only girls that are impressed by an STi are fangirls.

Same can be said about the X. Not a lot of girls are impressed by the Mitsu badge.

Let's be honest here, no women would be impressed with any of those four cars that are all based on economy cars.

Plus if you are worried about what women think about your car, you have bigger problems at hand.

woulda said the same thing if you mentioned anything about impressing girls with any of the others.

only 3 types of girls are impressed by cars.
highschool girls, then it doesn't matter as long as its a car and it works (you also have to be a highschool boy and not a pedo).
gold diggers, then you typically need something with a 6 figure pricetag.
and fangirls, then you have to have the car she's a fangirl of

and every once in a while there's a real car enthusiast girl

They were offering that with the purchase of a FoST or FiST as well a couple years back when I was test driving a few cars on my list for a new DD hot (warm) hatchback.

I liked both honestly with a slight edge to the FiST believe it or not (but those FoST seats OMG lovely). In the end I didn't purchase either though.

Ahh thanks. Didn't realize they were the same seat. Test Drives of the Fords were on different days at different dealers to boot.

I remember them being absolutely wonderful though

In my town, the hmong girls love them some Subaru. I've seen families with multiples.
I'd say FanBoi is more appropriate....though they may THINK the girls dig it.LOL
