No, but Ford is likely benchmarking the Focus RS against the STI, VW Golf R, Audi S3, and maybe even the new Civic Type R.

I am sure Ford expects the Focus RS to dominate the hot hatchback performance segment.

That's going to be a long, potentially ugly thread leading up to a 2016 release of a car most of us know very little about.

Like some have eluded earlier Ford is strictly after market share with this car. It currently fits a demographic niche. I am sure most agree the hot hatch market is alive and well and Ford wants in...deep!. If it had retained the standard FWD design as it's predecessors, it would just be another MS3. Looks like The Honda Civic Type R will be the new king of wrong wheel drive. I personally like the previous Euro styling of the 2 door RS models. Like Razor said the Fiesta is Ford's homo car.... uh...err... wait a minute.

Thread cleaned. The rally discussion was moved here. Please keep this somewhat on the topic of the Focus RS.

Ugh... That boost gauge at 2:45... It'd be better if they just left it out. Either give us real gauges or nothing at all

I'm pretty sure that's the same gauge pack as the ST. The boost gauge isn't particularly useful because of the location, but the gauge itself is OK.

I just hate that style of gauge, just has 0 and 30 on there, no vacuum, the whole sweep us just a tiny section of a circle... and the opening (all 3 gauges) isn't even big enough to pull them out and replace them with real gauges

The rear brakes aren't Brembo.

Do you have a source for that? I'm just curious.

You can see the rears have steel calipers. The mustang does the same thing. A few years ago the fronts were as well but they had a cover to make them look real.
