The one I have and referenced above (SkyPro XGPS160) works for both.

the first one has some nice bits, I'll check it out... really don't like those headlights though, and I'd really prefer a stock or near stock one

second is an 05, I want an 06+ for ease of tuning. pre 06 they need like 2k+ dumped into it for a kpro retrofit to be able to tune the ecu

i think with the EVO you need to face the fact that you're going to need to do a bit of work building it up to where you'd like it to be. but ultimately you will acquire a fantastic platform from which you can take it to basically wherever your heart (wallet) desires.

S2000 is a very capable platform. Just go with your gut and don't look back.

I'd rather get an S2000 than a beat to crap Evo that I need to do work on. The Evo is undoubtedly the better platform if you want a car you can make crazy fast without a crazy amount of money (but still a lot of money) but I don't think it's right to be so one-dimensional when it comes to car selection.

I didn't say I don't like the Evo. I do; when I have the time and the money, I'd like to import an Evo 6 TME since they're right on the cusp of being legal in Canada. However, I don't think I'd get one as a track car unless I wanted to compete in a specific class that the Evo was clearly the choice for. If I'm just going there to have fun and learn, I'd rather do it in something like a Miata or S2000.

I 100% agree, you just need to put some time and effort into it.

Look what I sold a year or so ago for around that price:

I looked for 6 months before I found mine through a friend of a friend. Bought it in december of 2103 from the original owner with 11k miles for $21k, bone stock with a brand new set of Dunlop Z2's in the stock size on the stock wheels. Car was in near showroom condition, and its an SSL.
