We smacked a guardrail about half way up the road and took a huge chunk out of the back rim along with some other damage to the driver's side. With only one opportunity to drive the road each year we quickly decided to press on towards the summit on the flat. The tire finally shredded and came off about a mile from the summit. If you watch the video, you can see the headlight, side skirt, and tire come off the car if you keep a close watch on things.

Nice footage Dave. Major respect for driving that beast after the tire went.

Yeap it's a rag over the filter. This third version of the catch can really doesn't need it, but I still use it just in case.

The 2nd vent I added to the valve cover short circuits the oil baffling so it allows oil an easy way into the can. I should have enlarged the the rear vent instead of adding the one I did. Anyway, my catch can would get full enough to pressurize and blow oil ALL over the engine bay in one track session. So I added a drain to put it back in the engine at the dipstick. So now the can stays low enough that it doesn't get pressurized and blow oil all over. But it's extra protection.

Crank case pressure from a built motor sucks to deal with.

I can just imagine the pressure that sucker must produce but im glad its working out for you now. I myself dont have a build motor like yours but I did buy me a Oil Catch Can just a few days ago from Buschur Racing. https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...oducts_id=1268 I've yet to install it but It seems to be pretty much identical to your setup if not the same. Do you think its better to recirculate the oil back into the oil pan than to have it manually drain out when ever needed? Just curious to see what you think since your OCC is the same as mines.

Very nice pics Nathan!

You kno what i want to see. A pic of all aero shod evo's sitting together. That would be cool to see all the unique custom designs showcased together.
