So looks like HRT is officially out, can't say that anyone will miss them. I'm glad that we won't have to deal with Narain and De La Rosa getting in everyones way.
Also it appears that Hamilton isn't the team leader at Mercedes?? He has the #10 car while Rosberg has the #9 car. Gotta say I'm a little surprised by this, why move from McLaren when your not even gonna be the number 1 driver at a lower class team?
Also for those of you who are out of autosport "free views" just go into your internet cookie settings and delete the autosport cookie, that will allow you to have the 30 free views again.

Okay, we are already in the off season, so I think it would be fun to caption these two photos. Let's see what wit we have here in this thread:

Oh mi Dios, mi coche es un perro.

Mama mia, my bambino is soon coming to the Scuderia.

I really enjoyed the final Debrief, finally got to watch it last night. Out of all the things I'll miss the most when coverage shifts to NBC will be Posey's Perspective. That man has a wonderful way with words, the way he breaks things down and looks at them is absolutely poetic. One of the best speakers I've ever heard.
I could be wrong, but I don't think Merc has a number 1 or number 2 driver. Pretty sure Hami will beat Nico thoughout the course of the season though. Not that either one of them will do much over all...

Guys, Sam Posey was running a Caldwell D7 in the Can Am in 1967, same as when Jim Hall, Dan Gurney, Bruce Mclaren and Mario Andretti were racing. His first car was a Mercedes Gullwing that he drove around his house and adjacent land.
Fastest Car in 2012?
Take a look at this: http://www.yallaf1.com/2012/12/06/mc...1-car-in-2012/ ...being the fastest car does not necessarily mean U will B a winner...Additionally, I also think this statistic demonstrates that Alonso is the best driver in the top five teams that have a competitive car...
Still waiting to find out fate of my boy, Kobay...come on Lotus...do the right, no, smart thing!

^ well, we all know that to win a race, you first have to finish. the mclaren might be the fastest car, but reliability is a different story. and it didn't help that Hami put himself in situation to crash out a few times while Alonso kept his nose clean most of the time.
^^Ken, that is highly debatable whether or not Alonso is the best driver. There has been a massive and I mean massive fight over at the Speed F1 forum about this. There is no doubt that Alonso is good and he got the most he could out of his car. As many have pointed out over there, the best driver is the one who wins the championship, not the one who finishes in second place. Also, many have pointed out that Ferrari had the dominant car for the middle part of the season. People forget how unreliable the RB8 was for some races.
People can argue all day about who the "best" driver is. Personally, I feel there are 4 drivers of equal driving skills: Seb, Lewis, Fred and Kimi. It would be great to see all 4 driving the exact same car. That might prove who is best. IMO, Seb is one of the best in F1 and deserved to win the championship.

Speaking of Hami, the guy hasn't even sat in a Merc yet and is contemplating about returining "home" to McLaren: "The Briton admitted, however, that the prospect of returning to McLaren in the future is never out of question...You can never say never and I've had a great time,... I think it will always be my home. ..I'll always look at it as where I've come from. Going back there would be nice one day. But I want to go and experience some things for a bit..It's almost like leaving home and going travelling for a bit. But I'm doing it with a different company." Now I NO he was asked the hypothetical but to say Merc is just a deviation from McLaren is just stupid... errh...politically incorrect ...for how committed will the Merc team B to a guy that is just using them as "vacation spot"...this, then, is another example of Hami not thinking before he opens his mouth.
