Tow Rigs, What do you have/use?
New (used) tow rig:

Finally got these things called power options
Had 3 "Work Trucks" in the past all with manual everything. Now we gotz power everything and a Duramax, we're very pleased. The open trailer won't be a problem, technically never was except for the lack of cruise/comfort etc, but now to look at an enclosed finally. Tune/Test pipe etc to come. Something about Turbo's

Here is what I use, a 2010 F250 FX4....get about 15mpg towing the car and about 13mpg towing my travel trailer.
My cousin had a Tundra he used to use for his 8,500lbs. fifth wheel, used for 1 year. Towed well, but his transmission burned. Sold it and got a F250 too.
Bought this Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel to tow with after using a buddies once to tow my old talon. Pulls great and so far the display is showing 17mpg. I'll hand calculate after tomorrow but normal driving the display is within 1/2mpg.
Planning on installing a weight distributing hitch and bilstein struts but its pretty steady as is and doesn't slow going up hills.

It's the same diesel from the older mercedes ML320 and also what's used in the newer sprinter vans. Been daily driving this for a few months now and it's been amazing. 20mpg average and just comfy and quiet to cruise in.

Dallas J, can you link me to anywhere showing Jeep offered a diesel Grand Cherokee in the US?
Jeep Diesel
My wife gets that reaction every time she starts pumping diesel fuel in our 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has the Mercedes 3.0 turbo diesel in it. it gets good fuel milage for a Grand Cherokee but my Dodge Cummins does better.
