Tow Rigs, What do you have/use?
figured i could get an accurate answer here.
what is the correct size trailer for an evo (for both open and enclosed)? i seem to recall it needed to be 18 feet long. other car id be towing is an s2000 so if the evo fits that will too.
ive started craigslist surfing and found a few pretty decent looking deals.

my Econo Trailer 15' works fine. Its the lightest steal trailer and also cheapest, I paid $2400 shipped for it new. I've towed Evo, E36 and CRX with it.

the 15' is a perfect fit for the Evo, but not much room to move it forward if add a tool box in front, if you ever have to move the car forward for load balance. but the evo is front heavy, so you don't really have to move it that much forward. you'll have plenty of room even with front splitter.
I added tool box and brackets for gas jugs.

here's me towing marc's car, notice the pit bike in front of his car. it was tight but just enough room.

As for rigs, I used to tow a 3 car wedge trailer with a Dodge 3500 dually, Cummins, stick shift. Yep, with an exhaust brake. Probably a wee bit overkill for a single car, but you could always rent space to other people going to the same event. Oh, but you'll need a CDL. ;-)

Yeah I was just poking around on their site and saw the 18' one as well which caught my eye. It's only 100# heavier than the 15' one so the additional weight should be insignificant. I guess the only downside is that you are hauling an extra 3' in trailer.
Thai- did you outfit your trailer with heavier duty axles, brakes or wheels?

I went 20' Nate, knowing that I would end up towing a few different things.

What are you towing with? I hadn't seen the Econo Trailers before I made this purchase but they look like a solid option, the weight is really impressive. I was restricted in what I could get based upon weight; the sport is all we have to tow with right now.
So far Ive had my TBSS, a couple Evos, an SC300 and a mini truck on the trailer.

I use an 18' closed deck. The car sits near the back to keep the tongue weight in check, so I have plenty of room up front. I usually haul 15gal of fuel on the tongue, a set of wheels/tires in front of the car, and two bikes mounted in front of and down the sides of the car. I found a set of fork mounts that work great and just throw the front bike tires in the car. At some point I might get more creative and put a storage box on there for spare parts with a tire rack. The extra 3' really gives a lot of options to take extras.

yeah, i was trying to keep trailer weight down to minimum. plus it's 3' less that i have to worry about when maneuvering around. i got the standard axles and brakes. i made my own mount for the spare and got the spare at walmart.
i did have to tighten all the wheel bearing nuts at the end of the season.
