Get a weight distribution hitch, you'll get some level back in the rear but its worlds better in driving comfort on literally any configuration.

Like Dallas said, get a weight disto hitch. Bags ruin ride quality because way they're mounted you almost always (99.99% of the time) lose wheel travel. The weight disto hitch should get the truck to sit level with the load.

Thats a clean truck though man. 2.7 or 3.5?

I actually purchased a Reese wdh because I may buy a camper later this year. But I feel it’s a little overkill for this? As far as bags go, I haven’t heard any complaints on ride quality in the F150 forums using the firestone kit. Plus I feel like it’s just easier if I’m being honest.

and thanks! It’s a 3.5 platinum w/ max tow package.

Trailer plus car weight is about the same as the trucks weight. Its definitely noticable! Absolutely worth running, I pretty much wont tow without it cause its just that much nicer.

It depends on the truck. But In short, if you cant disable the weight dist the truck may not allow for weight distribution. Some do, some dont so check owners manual.

i think sequoia platinum is auto leveling in the rear but i dont think it's disable-able. however, those only control for up and down, not sway. i guess i would be concerned about the auto leveling and the weight dist hitch acting strangely together, but is there a hitch that will only do sway control?

honestly i dont think it will be too much of an issue, the seqouia is a pretty big car. just wanting to make things go as smoothly as possible

Typically you run into an issue with the leveling fighting the weight distribution and why its usually desireable to disable it. But IIRC, dodge has a disable function while you setup your WDH so it can be set up independently.

The european Touareg with leveling does have issue with weight distribution and it ended up causing american vehicles to have a No-WDH rating. They actually changed it after production and you can get a new sticker from VW for vehicles without load leveling for use with a WDH and greater tongue weight.

All that said, its not as easy as just saying globally you can do "this". You really have to conform to what the manufacturer rates the vehicle at regardless if it can functionally do more because of insurance and legality reasons.

I've had good luck with the Armada for the last 4 seasons. It has the rear leveling suspension and a weight distribution hitch and they seem to work well together.
