Yeah I'm a T hook fan as well but can see with enclosed that being tricky in the rear. My stupid trailer fenders are always in the way in the rear but Im able to squeeze in there and slip them on.

werd

When I rent a U-Haul, it has nets for the front wheels and the rears "float". I REALLY like it because I strap the car down in no time. I wouldn't mine setting up a personal trailer the same. It would take a little work, but it's really neat.

I never appreciated quick-release fenders until I started towing the Evo. It's pretty wide for the trailer I use aaaaand everything I need to get to seems to be right where the fenders are. Well, that and I'd never be able to get out of the car

+1 for t-hooks. Search for Honda-guy posts on the type of t-hook you need (t-hook with one chain link). I’ve tied down every which way and would definitely go with t-hooks.

got the car back from the dealer today, who confirmed the shocks are blown. they were leaking. they got a list of a bunch of things for me to do, but it seems the t-case is okay.

been scrambling all day to get stuff, but there was an online toyota parts wholesaler i ordered the shocks for. I think the shocks are only expensive because of the rears, which have an electronic component. I think the shocks only control the comfort, sport, and normal settings for the ride though, so in hindsight i could have lived without that.

the airbag springs are just for the ride height adjustment which i'm goign to replace as well

Got it.
So the air bags I got here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203063613100
I did speak with the sellers and they did say it's 100% oem from Japan, and confirmed fit with VIN

The shocks/struts I got here: https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/

They have sick pricing, way less than list on most of this stuff. I called and asked why/how, and they said it's due to decreased overhead from the website, but it's all 100% OEM. They are an actual dealership, so if you call the dealership side they have to do list pricing, but from the website, much cheaper.

Yeah. it's pretty common for dealers to sell parts for cheap online.

When they straight up lie to your face like its NBD, yeah I have no problem finding every way to get back at them. This is why I prefer the tesla model. The price is what it is. And dont get me started on manufacturing equipment. Go price out a CNC that isnt a Haas.

oh yea..

2 different dealerships - the home one here that i had inspect it is totally cool with me. they have the normal markup but that's fine

the dealership i bought the car from.... wow. still stunned the sales manager yelled and lied to my face. i'm glad i got the car for a great deal, even with the blown shocks but if the t-case were actually bad this would have been a different story.

washing the car now, really happy with how it's turned out.
