The bolts were talking about that get upgraded are the ones that hold the tcase together. Not the ones the bolt the tcase to the trans.

speaking of t-cases...

My ACD pump was making crazy noises. I check the fluid level and it's a finger width below "LOW". How in hell did I go from right at full to that, after swapping transmissions? I've never lost fluid swapping before. the t-case pretty much remained near level the whole time in the car. The line never came loose and the bleeder was solid. Weird.

My level seems to move quite a bit depending on heat. At the end of a dual driven AX in hot weather I believe the fluid ends up being low looking bases on reservoir. And when its cold and been sitting a while it will be nearly overfull. Im pretty sure if I had air in the system I'd get an error and Ive flushed the hell out of it after the relocation. So I think its just how it works out possibly effected by the thermal expansion of the system? Just a guess though.

Honestly ,I'm not sure. I'm hoping the buzzing was just due to air sonehow getting into the system and now that I bled it. It'll be quiet. I ran the car on jack stands and no noise. Fingers crossed.
Possibly it was low because of temp and it hadn't had time to fill the reservoir after I drove it.

**edit: it's overflowing with a puddle under the car LOL. I completely forgot to meet the car sit before checking the fluid level. LOL

it is normal for the fluid to come back from the high pressure reservoar in the pump back into the plastic reservoar after the car has been sitting for a while... usually the difference is between full bottle and somewhere above min...

Yes. And it is important to not forget this when you happen to look over at the fluid level.

That ACD fluid (which is pretty much ATF fluid) smells so damn bad. I def wouldn't want mine to overflow and leak with the res in the trunk.

Been there. Top off after driving. Come to garage the next day to a mess. Check level after a drive and sit overnight seems to be the best way to get it right.

I've found not having an ACD system tends to help with that problem

yeah, but if you like to drive a lot in the loose, the ACD, and especially AYC equipped cars work just that much better.... I wouldn't have one without it..
