I tried it, it only logs at 8hz. Basically useless. Nothing I could find let me log at any greater rate so it was useless.

Logging Legacy-OBD with race capture is equally slow and useless.

yes, running tephramod, with boost cut/timing and cel flash for knock. i think we did knock instead of afr out of range because i've got an afr gauge but it's also hard to look at while racing
You can do both, but your wideband needs to have an analog out signal that can be wired into the ecu.

I don't think mine is nearly that slow. Still better than nothing though.

I just went and did a sanity check and I'm getting >100 log items per second a few of which are 2-bytes from my Openport 2.0 stand alone. I don't know what your issue was, maybe the SD card or something. Sure evoscan is a little faster, but I wouldn't call this useless.

link to what you have? i'm happy to have it running in the background no doubt, i've awlays got an obd2 reader on the car anyway

anyway, he's pretty certain that's what it is. feels kinda strange. i'll try to give it 500 break in miles or so, flush oil, take some logs, and race it at autobahn country club.

nervous that that wasn't it and something else will fail

Straight from the source:

https://www.tactrix.com/index.php?op...ed=1&Itemid=53

or through evoscan:

https://evoscan.com/evoscan-gps-obdi...t-20-usb-cable

You see people selling them on here some what frequently too. There was one just for sale, but I think it got jumped on.

Is it 100 total of 1 or combined total? Try just 1 item, I wasn't able to get more than 8hz regardless of number of items.

it was 10 lines with 10 items each / second.

Here is a sample I just pulled. If you're wondering about the logged items, it's for maf tuning.

You don't need the adapter to just do logging, but I think it's worth having. Even if you never plan on tuning, it will be helpful if you ever need remote support. I don't think they come with an SD card. You want to get something small, 8GB or less. I've left that thing running for years between archiving and it's never come close to filling up with an 8GB. The issue with larger cards is you start running into potential compatibility issues the bigger you go.

gotcha.

as i think about this, would a failure in the fpr vacuum line have caused just cylinder 4 to overheat like that? or is it jut that cylinder 4 is the most prone to go and went before the others could? would think if it all went lean then it really would have been everywhere

Sorry, which solenoid? Are you talking about the FPR?

Ok, so yours is exactly 10hz. Mine was 0.125s per sample (1 item, 10 items, didnt matter). 10hz is better than nothing but only barely. RPMS and load can change a lot in 1sec but I guess its good for an overall look. But you cant really tune with it.

Evoscan is obviously better, but it's not that much faster. Maybe another 20% or something.
