fwiw i never use the ebrake on a track day, only for normal driving and when it's on the trailer. when i put it on the trailer i let it all cool down first also before using the ebrake.

An old design maybe? My Girodisc 2pc rears are aluminum hat.

Id have no worry about aluminum rear hats. Just dont use the E-brake after a track session. Steel is nice, but if going steel might as well just stick with centric blanks in the rear. They dont make enough heat that it matters as much as the front.

Well I found PFC makes a V3 stock replacement rear disc using their sweet snap ring system so I'll design for stock rear rotor as I don't see their V3 having any issues on track and if for whatever reason enough people want a thicker rear rotor that's something we can explore in the future. Going to chat with them at PRI this week to see what it takes to become a dealer for them.

DBA 5000 series do a 2 piece rear rotor factory fitment. not sure if alu or steel.

My center hats for my front discs are 7075 alu and have been fine for years.

Well look at the AP discs too. Kinda makes more sense to one stop shop and not have to go "over here" just for rear rotor rings. Unless they don't make em.

This is the beauty behind designing around the stock disc. You can choose whichever brand you want for rotors.

DBA is definitely nice stuff but last I checked (it's been a few years) they only make their 5000 2 pieces for the front.

I didn't look too hard but AP doesn't list a 22mm thick 300mm diameter ring on their site, which leads me to believe they don't offer a stock replacement disc, but if they do, there's nothing that would prevent you from using theirs.

I'm looking at the PFC because of their ease of service and the hardware is reusable so the only thing you have to buy is new rings. They do just as many cup car brakes as AP and Brembo so their stuff is plenty well race proven too.

Yea just had a look and cant see it there. Possibly was being offered a rotor that was from another application which would also fit.

I dont know about the legality, but GrN Brembos do not use the stock E brake. Just alu hat with a floating disc, and the e brake is hydraulic with rear lines going trough a twin hydraulic cylinder. They actually have a locking mechanism on the lever, so when they park the car they can lock the rear brakes with the rear disc calipers.

Rear 8350 is on order. Bracket will be designed shortly after I get it. Likely just going to do a one time group buy for anybody interested.

I know lots of stuff in the rear of the X are different. As long as the radial depth of the rotor isn't smaller than the 8/9 then yea it wouldn't be too hard to do rears for an X in similar fashion. I'd just need to get my hands on a car to take measurements.

Edit: Woah, turns out Centric now sells replacement MR front rotors. Maybe that's nothing new but I was under the impression no one was making OEM replacement 2 piece rotors. Price isn't terrible either at around $200/rotor.

Currently wondering how good the Racing Brake Caliper is because this is affordable, and even more affordable with out dealer pricing. Unless @Dallas J has a caliper bracket for me to move to a wilwood 6 piston (Aero 6 piston area is only a smidge less than stock, 4.04 vs 4.29)

Those Racing Brake calipers look very similar to the generic Taiwanese calipers I see tons of companies use in their "bespoke" brake kits. The fact that it doesn't have any bridge over the pads would make me think it isn't much stiffer than the factory caliper either.

I'd be much more inclined to go the Aero6 on a stock or X rotor route. I've had no issues with the Aero6 on my car other than the fact they could be a bit lighter (still lighter than stock) and I have to remove them to change pads.
