Modern Tire Options
I drove to more than a handful of DEs on my RC1s. I'm only taking them off my car because they're from 2015 lol. They're way heat cycled out but still have a ton of tread left. Seriously one of my favorite tires. They just suck in the rain, though I have driven home from an event in the rain on them and didn't die.
I crashed my car on GSP near West Orange NJ. It just started raining lightly and my tires were in 'November' state. I was just cruising to pickup my codriver but I think my stiff suspension just wont work on freshly moisturized highway grime
Exactly my point. Granted, I think I have almost got in an accident every time I drive in that area, regardless of weather, hahah.

So you guys know much about how the a052 width compares to BFG rivals? I'd love the a052 for street and hot lap sessions but they don't have a 275 35 18. I can't do the 275 40 18 because it's too tall and rubs fenders. I'm eyeing 295 30 18 if a052 don't run super wide.

I only ran four sessions, but am certain they would have been even faster with a bit more use.
And all the talk about being slippery when cold is 100% true.

Goodyear lists them as 220tw but they definitely fall into the "super 200" Category on that above spreadsheet. I recall reading somewhere that in a time attack format (1-2 flying laps) they're faster than an NT01.
non R Supercar 3's were on my list to replace my aging Pilot Super Sports. Being a 9.5 width tire I run, I am going to go with 275/35ZR18.
For a daily and occasional HPDE tire, it has been reported as hard to beat.
