4 day weekend FTW

 

top of the morning to ya.

to answer a couple questions, my boss just told me yesterday that he was leaving today. Nobody knows yet as far as I know. This will be an interesting day to say the least. I'm not gonna worry about anything, whatever happens, happens.

 

didn't have a chance to do any research on EBC's last night... hopefully this weekend.

 

i hope that doesn't really have any effect on your job.

i work in a setting where what my boss or her boss etc do has no effect on my employment.....unless what they are doing is firing me.

 

morning guys, another long day of work, though thinking about dipping out early to enjoy some day drinking in the son and an oil change. enjoy the weather fellas

 

in other news: i commuted to work in the evo today for the first time in many months. my neighbor across the street threw a fit because i started the car. he gave me a "WTF" gesture. it annoyed me so i walked out to the street and said to him "when was the last time in the past 6 months have you heard me running this car at this time." he didn't say anything. when i went to leave his wife tailgated the F out of me down the main road in my area. A cat jump into the street and i had to stop/slow down suddenly (unintentional brake check) and she absolutely lost it. She started blowing her horn and yelling out the window then gave me the finger as she passed by. Her husband did the same **** to me (minus the honking, cursing and middle finger) one morning when we had all the snow on the ground. Looks like I have an enemy and it's on! I'll wait until my head heals up more before i get all mouthy.

also my wife told me that she crashed into the aluminum garage door and put a big dent in it as well as traded paint with the car. she told me i won brownie points for not getting mad at her (i'm not sure i usually do) so that's a plus for my weekend.

i still think i'll get my own apartment though.

 

haha, just got a request in outlook for an 11:30 meeting with the Bob's... I wonder what they want to talk about?

I wouldn't play nice if I were you. I'd be warming up my car every morning even if I didn't have to drive it. People like that **** me the F off. I think we need to have a little GTG at your house soon...

 

I'm just playing dumb (not hard for me to do).
Only 3 things can happen here as far as I can tell:

1 - I get outsourced
2 - I get the responsability I was supposed to get handed to me over the course of a few years in one day with more than likely no extra reward.
3 - Its business as usual and we look for a new CFO.

 

i'll pounce when the opportunity presents itself. i'm not a big supporter of sh!tting where you sleep. there are a couple of neighbors that i do like so being an overall d!ck wouldn't be fair to everyone else.

some of the my neighbors flat out don't like me or my wife. it's kind of like we're th black family who moved into a white neighborhood in 1940s Alabama. i think it is a territorial thing with us not being OG's of the neighborhood.

also most people that buy $30k cars don't usually have the luxury of having a DD so they should recognize my consideration.....not that i did it just for their sake.

 

i'm having another rough day
last week on vacation email servers crashed.
this morning the power in our corporate office power room failed
everything is failing now.
and now my CIO sent a meeting invite saying "Mandatory IT Standdown"
WTF does that mean?!

 

My neighbor commented on my car the other day. I have been leaving the house at 4am and he said he could tell cause I always wake him up.
I said "your not *****in are you"
and he said "hell no if I did you would probably bring home a dump truck"
my response was "you know me too well."

 

Marc, I hope your meeting goes well. More responsibilty and no extra reward seems to be the usual game here. I was blessed with a raise when I was given more duties a few months ago, but that was the exception to the rule. Hopefully it will work out that way for you too.

Dan, screw him and his wife! People like that **** me off. I love Office Space btw, that scene is fantastic.

It is somewhat odd that both husband and wife decided to be a-holes. Maybe they are having martial problems. I would give them the finger every time I see them from now on.
