Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
Chu, it was $380 shipped with the discount for XP-12's front and XP-10s rear. The 12's were $256 before the discount, but they are more expensive than the 10's... not sure by how much.
I was reading the email from Shattenbaum and it says the 5/13 event will only have 3 run groups, that means lots of track time. I bet you'll get 5 sessions if things go well.
Things are looking better and better for me to go. Gotta get the Mazda inspected today, if it doesn't need anything I should be good to sign up. *fingers crossed*

BTW, someone pointed out to me about Carbotech RP2s, has anyone heard about it? On paper, it sounds like some stupid aggressive pads, but reviews showed that it has the same characteristics as the XP10s, but will last longer.

You know me, it's all about the JDM bling factor!
Nope, they just removed the manifold, welded the hole cleaned it out and put a phenolic spacer on. Whether that translates to any additional power, who knows. If nothing else we removed weight, potential boost leaks and made the car 100% emissions non-compliant. Everything I've read about the spacers say that the intake manifold will become noticably colder to the touch.
We were originally going to plug the head, but I wasn't terribly comfortable having to worry about a potential catastrophic engine failure should that plug ever come loose. As it turned out, the shop where my friend is tuning the car has an excellent welder on staff, so welding the hole shut was a no brainer.

I'm curious to see your results with the spacer. I was going to run one when I did my HG install over the winter. I've had great results using them on other motors but i was advised against it with this one because I was told it doesn't hold up and eventually causes boost leaks.
egr= exhast gas recirc... nothing to do with cams.
