It is slow, but I was holding him back from upshifting in some spots and not letting him down shift in others. This was so we could slow the car down and focus on other things besides going fast. Once he gets those other things nailed down, and uses his whole powerband in some sections of the track, those times will drop.

For reference I am in the low 19's in my M3 and that was with the car sputtering in T6 and the lightbulb due to a shot fuel pump. That has since been fixed with the bimmerworld dual pump kit. I predict I'll be in the high 18's at the trackdaze event. Come at meh!!!

[QUOTE=grillpt;10217424]There is no way 50-75 more hp is gonna drop 2 seconds in lap time.

I would probably agree with this though.

This made me .

Top 3, huh? Like I said before, you will have somewhat of an advantage running E85 as Lightning is so fast, but we'll have to see how it all shakes out.[/QUOTE

Sorry I meant 150-175..

I don't agree with GT35R.. too big for low c/r 2.0 and stock head. 3076/.82 is where it's at.

I think CBRD is the way to go if you got a baller wallet, otherwise just pick up the Mishimoto. We should log some temps on my car to see if there is a difference.

have you ever driven a high HP car on track, or an EVO for that matter? How about an EVO with a GT35r? Just trying to understand your reasoning for the assumptions you are making.

Pete, we can log your mishimoto rad at NJMP in two weeks. I have tons of logs from there to compare to stock. I think fineberg has the CBRD rad... but his car is making more power, so it won't be an apples to apples comparo but it should still be close.

Nah, I don't do subtle nor am I overly boastful...that was more about being genuinely surprised at how slow chu was, but knowing he was being coached for a better line, makes more sense.

I'm sure 1:18s are doable in our cars, I just doubt I'll push that hard to get there.

Many of the BMW shops I've talked to surprised me by saying that they like the Mishimotos...and I know where you can get one at a discounted rate.

^ for the bimmer I'm going to go with the S54 rad when I do the cooling system over the winter. Can't go wrong with OEM.

Hit me a up with a price for the mishi on the EVO when you have a minute. Also would like to do the cooling plate and new hoses too. Holla!

How in the hell would I know what time I am going to run if I have never run at this track and have never ran my car with this set up

If 1:14 is fast time and Chu is running 1:22 being instructed by Senna, I assume 1:15 - 1:16? F..k, who knows.

I can't heel toe, never taught myself. I will continue doing what is right, rev match down shifts. I know I saw Marc down shift mid corner in his video, not how I would do it but hay, he is Senna reborn..

Are RA1 really considered r-compounds? They are the weakest r-compound I have ever driven on, Star Specs may have more grip.

When dan or I get behind you (or you see us in front of you) I'll bet you forget about holding back and start to push. Not to mention when you see fineberg or some other PCD fool with an EVO, lol.

I thought you would at least have a prediction... if the 'fast' guys in the thread are between 14-17 on street tires and you're a better driver than all of us WITH more power and better tires I'd figure you'd be faster, right?

Chu is in the 19's not 22, don't get it twisted.

Heel-toe is for pussies. If you aren't shifting mid-corner you aren't going fast enough.

Already with the excuses, aren't you. Make sure you bring both sets of tires so I don't have to hear about how you heat cycled them out or some other excuse. How about you run your fastest lap then we put those 'beat' ra1's on someone elses car and see how much time they pick up.

Not A Game Racing... we don't play!

I've have used both the Mishimoto and the CBRD. Originally bought the Mishimotor because my stock leaked. CBRD is currently on my car now. I like the CBRD because it is slimmer and lighter than the Mishimoto. I haven't logged coolant temps to see if its actually more efficient, but my temp gauge doesnt move on track or heavy summer traffic, so I have no data comparison. I believe CBRD uses a Griffin core for their rads. For what its worth, I also run a higher water:coolant ratio, usually 60-70% water as to the normal 50/50 mix.
