This is a SCCA event and we will most likely have pizza for dinner provided. (at least for EVO owners)

I need you guys to come out and race! We had quite a few evo's out there before snd I want to see it continue. This is the best intro into time trials that you will ever have! It's pretty safe and a heck of a lot of fun. Let's quite pissing and moaning with each other and all get together and race.

If we get enough interest, I will try and organize alittle suby-evo challange.

You don't need any special safety gear just long sleeves and pants.

is there an online pre-registration or anything?

On the cart track? I assume they open up the full course?

I'll do my best to be there. Do we need to pre-register or just show up?

Registration will open in a few days. It will be on Steelcity SCCA website.

Finally got the car out

Everything went well for the shake-down. No major issues to speak of. There was alot of "driver rust" to shake off as it had been one full year since I had been on track (what a waste...but lessons learned).

Was lucky enough to have a 15 year SCCA racer as in my car to help me tweak some of the my lines around 1-2-3 and 9-10 which was very helpful. Driving was generally at 6/10th's during the day as to avoid any catastrophies (which would have likely been driver induced!)

Still need to adjust the front lip to get the correct angle (just didn't have time to play with it when I was there). The rear wing really plants the car. Suspension is a bit jumpy now so may play with the damping but as Mike mentioned it just may be a function of how rigid the car is.

The Shep locking rear diff and Gruppe-S ACD flash are just unbelievable....this car just does not want push. It's a different experience being able to toss the car into the corners and have it rotate nicely rather than make all kind of tire noise.

I'll be back out on Friday afternoon to drive a little bit harder, but everything in baby steps until the car is fully sorted...

Sounds good!!!! If I wasn't so self conscious about the dent on my bumper, I would have been there. Sadly I'll miss Friday as well.

How does the TT work on the Wilson track? Is it a single car at a time or are there multiple cars?

We run pods of cars.(3 or 4) and you get 2 set of 3 timed laps. Actually is 5 if you count the out lap and then cool down lap. Then in the afternoon or evening heat(note the times). I should be able to fit in 4 or 5 laps per set.

The track is faster then an auto-x and there is potential to hit something if you screw up but, it about as safe as you will get to start higher speed racing.

The track will test you and it's hard on the brakes.

new member of the family was added this weekend.......

10 wk old yellow lab - got him for free off my neighbor, his wife drove to West Virginia during the flooding and rescued the mom, dad, and this little guy. They were abandoned at someones house, just tied them and drove away. They asked if we wanted him and after about 10 seconds of looking at his face we said hell yes...

Need some help guys. On my way back from oil change, my engine (bay area) started making a weird sound which could only be described as a weed whacker sound which matches my gas pedal input.

Checked the oil and it was completely full. No visible fluid leaks on the engine or garage floor. When I started to move the car out/into the garage just now, the oil light comes flickering on and off. It does not stay on.

The car also felt like it had very little power, but I wasn't trying anything with this sound.

Any ideas or where to start. Tried to somehow get the Mike to hear the noise over my phone, but it was a no go.

The sound appears to be loudest near the exhaust manifold.
