i know there are a couple indoor ranges around here that would probably allow for that kind of shooting, but usually i believe you have to buy their ammo.

i used to know a guy with some land over the butler county line, but unfortunately he doesn't own that particular piece of property anymore. too bad. it was a great place to go shoot. i'll ask around and see if there are any other good places to go, but off the top of my head i don't think so.

I'm a Member of the Lawrence County Sportsmen's Association. They have a 50-600yrd range rifle range, .22lr pistol/rifle Silhouette course, and a regular handgun steel targets along with a Skeet range.

They are open to public on Sat/Sun. 40.936424,-80.376021 (GPS Coordinates). If you are used to coming to Beaver Run, it's only another 10 miles or so.

Pretty much anything goes except full auto. I shoot my ARs and M1a pretty often.

Where Beaver Run is now used to be a huge strip mine and dump where we went four wheelin and shooting when we were younger, you could spend all day there blasting anything you want. Now days you get to close to civalization and someone hears a couple of Ak's and Ar's going off the freaking ATF will swarm you.

Hope to see some Evo's out there!...great excuse to take a vacation day.

If there are any Group 1 Evo drivers out there, I'll be instructing and would love to be in a car I'm familiar with so sign up!
This past Friday was a great Flat Out Day...good turn out for Groups 1 & 2, (there was a Red X MR out on track ) and Group 3 was down to open track after only an hour.....run 'till you drop

The next FOD is on a SUNDAY September 19th so hope to see some more Evo's out there.

If you spend enough time to develop your skills moving up from Group 1 to 2 and eventually on the Group 3, the payoff is great.

Group 3 has to be one of the best "bang for your buck" track experiences around. Typically there are 2 Groups in the afternoon and by the time the clock strikes at the end of the day, you will be totally worn out....better than any HPDE type event in terms of track time of the dollar.

Plus you have access to Test and Tunes which are dirt cheap for 4 hours of track time from 4-8 during the summer.

I realize that summer is near it's end, but still plenty of time to have fun through September and early October

Will you be instructing on Sept. 19? I have 100% intentions of coming assuming weather is fair and no obligations arise.

due to the location i can only assume that caustic sweat from my sack has started to erode the delicate alcantara suede.

You know of any good indoor or outdoor rifle ranges close to downtown pgh (besides the public range over towards wexford)? Been looking to get some serious time behind my rem700 and didn't fancy the benches and tapered-in targets
