You've answered your question. As you say, shipping will just add more to the cost which can be better served.

what pad are u upgrading to trav?
Performance friction......i found a nice write up of a test done (forget which vehicle) and they put them against the ferodo 2500's and they actually outperformed them as well as had great DD characteristics so I thought what the heck.

im curious how they will do.....would like to get them on before auto-x starts but not sure if i will have the funds - in the middle of a kitchen renovation project.

Come on. The weather is getting nicer. Start cooking on a grill outside. Put the money towards the car.

It will soon be stocked with more for the build . PM me and well set up a time to meet if you want..
Yes lets get a time nailed down so I can get those parts........

Yes if you need bigger than 1200's then get the ID2000's - on E85 they will run amazing. I am running them on 93 and its nice. If we can meet before Friday i can give you a live demonstration of them, I have to give them back this weekend.

I need to buy a grill first, which i think might be this week....weather coming this weekend looks to be amazing.

I may actually get my garage in order and get my work bench built so I can get organized this weekend if i get the kitchen done.

How do you like your 5spd? Do you like it better than the 6?

I'm loving the 5spd. When I started driving on it, it felt a bit notchy. The more I drive it, the more it loosens up. It gets smoother by the day. The ratios are great and the throws are shorter than in the six speed. It is actually ALOT easier to shift. I used to miss gears all the time in the six speed (even with underhood bushings), but that problem is gone now. I actually have the evo 8 5th gear (its alot longer than 4th), but I like it for fuel economy purposes on the highway.

The twin disk is actually taking more getting used to than anything else. I havent really figured out how to launch on it yet. Overall though, I highly recommend the 5 spd conversion. The price sucks, but what you get is leaps and bounds better than a 6spd.

Thanks. I'm working on a deal now for a 5spd which would include the 6spd to 5spd conversion. If anything, I'll get it worked on over this coming winter and be ready for next year. The 6spd is still going good and no reason to switch over yet.

Yeah man, run that 6spd into the ground. Mine was completely destroyed when it got pulled. It was so bad that there was actually molten metal that was caked all over my transmission speed sensor. You'll love that 5spd when you eventually do get it put in there.
