Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
By the way, just want to say thanks to the tag ***** for their continued support. Please, keep the encouragement coming
i would definitely follow the break in as suggested. Parts like clutches, brakes ect require cycles of heating up and cooling down to reach thier maximum strength and efficiency. If you have F U money and can drop a couple thousand more bucks prematurely if it fails, more power to you

break in period definitely sucks though.

Is it, really? Please, if you have something to say, go for it. Don't be one of these sac-less chodes that has to hide behind a tag of anonyminity because they are too afraid to insult someone directly.
BTW, definitely my new favorite video. Thanks for posting it.
[QUOTE=Canexican;9506197]Not saying it doesn't help anything, just that if it is going to hold, it is going to hold. If it won't, it won't. Mike was the one that told me that, actually. Just saying that I think the importance of break-in on a clutch isn't as big of a deal as it is made out to be, especially with a twin-disk./QUOTE]
Im just saying that the manufacturer doesnt recommend a break in procedure for no reason. Do you think if it would have broken the first day that they would have said "oh here have a new clutch..you are special and break in doesnt apply to you". You would probably have to send it in for evaluation and it could be easily determined that you"beat the ****" out of it right away.
Perhaps you got lucky that it didnt break, perhaps not, but i guess my point is that you shouldnt really brag about it or tell other members on a forum it isnt necessary if you arent an expert on the subject...
(if you are ever bored try taking a properties of materials class...you will learn a lot)

Ok Brian. That's awesome you took a properties of materials class and I'm sure you know what you are talking about. Not that I don't believe you (and I wasn't really bragging, just stating personal facts really), but I'm just going by what mitsumaster told me and what I've experienced with my own twin disk. His advice, as well as the clutch, have been flawless thus far

I guess I'll chime in and catch some love....
Installed an Exedy triple cerametallic fresh into my car at Buschurs... It went from install to the Dyno with zero mileage and seen full on Dyno pulls...
It has yet to slip and it is seeing substantial amounts of ft.lb's so take it for what it's worth just my .02

Does anyone need 1000cc injectors? I have a set from an aborted project, would like to deal locally.
I also have a full harness from an EVO8/9. Full as in everything, from the engine bay all the way to the tail lights. Fuse boxes, all the connectors/clips, etc. Great if you're missing something, or if you want to start a project on making a stripped out harness.

haha didn't mean to spark such debate about the exedy clutch & break in period. I guess you could call me going full break in a precautionary measure? Maybe this whole debate is really a statement of quality? I am just going by what the manufacturer suggests.

My bad; I thought it was at the Wilson thing....
