oooh right right. haha. i've only played that game once and it was quite a while ago.

the guitar is old, had that for a while. the Marshall JCM900 half stack is new.

my neighbors are going to hate that Marshall, but my hope is that if i use it enough i won't have neighbors for long.

That's the spirit you in a band or just do your own thing?

Any tips for first time track run?

Hey guys,

I am going to be tracking my car for the first time on August 19th and was wondering if you had any advice for me. I am running it at a local track (Autobahn Country Club) 2.2 mile course and understand the risks involved; however, I am basically looking for some advice from any members who have tracked before.

i used to be in bands when i was in high school/college but not anymore.

truth be told the JCM900 is quite overkill for what i do now, but i've wanted one for as long as i can remember and i finally bumped in to one for the right price.

the old heads kill the new Marshall heads like the dual/triple super lead in my opinion. so people tend to hang on to them once they get them. finally got my hands on one and couldn't say no.

make sure your brakes, rotors, and tires all have plenty of life left in them.

make sure all your fluids (oil, tranny, differentials, brakes) get a fresh change shortly before going out.

check your tires carefully for punctures, make sure your tire pressure is correct, and all lug nuts are torqued to spec once you arrive at the track.

it's also not a bad idea to run through some of the major bolts and suspension pieces and take a look at them for any cracks/wear/missing pieces.

be safe, and enjoy.

GSC S2 Cams

The car is back, and just love the S2 Cam sound. Still very early in the tune, but had to do a quick video of the sound from the exhaust....

Yeah those tend to be quite pricey too I just got a new schecter hellraiser last night after a bad experience with guitar center and them not fixing stuff. And actually just finished recording a new cd just gotta mix it. Bands called 50 caliber dream

Sounds sick Jim. Glad the cams finally came. Where did you end up ordering them from? Will probably end up getting those next year. Can't really complain about my stock cams right now.

I ended up at the track last week. Didn't go too well. Temps never got below 70 and humidity was still at like 60%. Probably could have hit a 10 on my last run if I got my 60ft in the 1.4 range again, but it was definitely too hot to break any records. Based on how poorly I launched, I'm just happy I didn't break by Tcase. Going to try to hold off till fall before I hit the track again.

I had ordered the cams back in February of this year....took until 2nd week of July to get them in. GSC was to blame, not any of the resellers. Some sort of issue with blanks or something was causing delays.

I am heading up to PRP tomorrow. I need to do some data logging. I know its going to be hot as hell tomorrow, but I need some numbers to get started. I am working with Jestr for the tune, but I am going to go up to JS to see what the dyno numbers look like. Pump 93 for now....until I buy an AFR gauge, then we will tune for E85...so that I can show you my tail lights for a change

Oh by the way....you launch like that again, and my Subaru Legacy will be beating you ......

Good luck at PRP - its gonna be ugly. Very curious to see what you make on 93. The most I ever made was 357hp/343tq on 93 on that dyno. Be prepared to be disappointed. And as bad as my launch was, it was still just as fast as my best 60ft on street tires. I'll look forward to when you get E85 and I've got some stock turbo competition .
