Well kids I'm a ricer now with big graphics on my car. In fact there has always been an inner ricer within me wanting to put graphics on the car. BUT, it just wasn't classy on a daily driver mobile. So now that my car is pretty much a track toy I gave myself the green light to go wild.
I must say I'm pretty happy with how things are turning out. With a couple screw ups on smaller pieces I've figured out how to cut larger graphics successfully. Much like the rest of this project this is my first time working with large graphics. It's been fun creating the artwork, assembling the multi-colors layers and putting them on. I was a little nervous about applying them as I hadn't personally done any wet technique installs before - I had just watched. But it was really easy. 1 drop of soap in a spray bottle of water, spray the area on the car, spray the adhesive side of the graphic and slam it on there. Then you can slide it around and into place and squeegee it flat. Once its flat you spray the graphic again to wet out the paper from the outside and squeegee once more - then wait 10-15 mins and pull the transfer paper off. Seams, grooves, and large curves can be smoothed out with the heat gun.
First part of the side graphic applied and waiting to pull the transfer tape off.

First part of the rear graphic. I have to say that I think the rear graphics are pretty friggin' killer.

The victims..... this ought to get a few comments at the track. Still need to add a Ferrari, Honda, Acura, and Alfa logo. These were really small and about as tiny as I can make on my cutter.

Mirrors came out cool as well.

I might be over the green front end. The vinyl required is ultra high end so it can conform to tight curves. And the application is done dry and with heat, which is for the pros. And it's $90 for the roll. I think I'll just figure out somethings else for the front end. And I'll be doing something on the roof as well.

The NT03's haven't gone anywhere. They are in my basement with race tires on them. I was too lazy to haul them up and install them for a couple photos.

we are number 32
going back to my karting days..
when we couldnt afford alot of stickers, we would keep 3's and 2's... so I could run 32, 23, 33, 22, etc LOL!
