I think 400whp on pump is easily do able. My car only holds 21psi to redline at ~400-420vdr. If I turned the boost to 21 from the get go I would make same peak power just the midrange punch would decline a lot. Tq would be flat and power increase through the rpm band. I like working that tq curve on e85!

I'm hoping so. I've spoken with a few people and they are really doubting my ability to make that on pump. I can not wait to work the car a bit on E85 at a later date!

Noice! I'm not trying to set a record, just would like to see 400whp.

What fuel? E85? Thats pretty good for the displacement of that motor on that turbo

Oh, and read about how my timing has been on this entire time?@!#&%^*

So, if you don't remember my really sweet threads (sarcasm) about timing a 4g64, I challenge you to educate yourself with the finest reading on EvoM (minus EvoLinda's Intro thread):

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ctly-time.html
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...4g64-swap.html

However, I never really solved my issue, as all of my marks are worn off of my crank pulley and lower timing cover, so no one believed me.

So, 500 broken tools and one big broken heart later, I've come to my own damn consensus.

I placed my new, shiney AEM cam gears (with cool bolts) up agains my ugly ratty, unproven Fidanza gears and lined up the dowel pins. The AEM gears were two entire teeth ahead of the Fidanza gears, both zero'd out. However, I figured if my timing was actually off that much, my car wouldn't run or valves would be bending and making cool sounds and stuff.

So, I did what I didn't think to do before: I found where my #1 piston reached it's highest point (TDC, duh!?), and lined my inner cam gear marks up with my valve cover.

This was my result (I still have to fix the intake gear as I moved it earlier in the day when doing really cool stuff), but my +2 +2 configuration was spot on the entire time):

I bought these AEM gears for nothing besides to look cool. Oh well...BLING. Not really sure why I made this thread other than to prove that I'm not crazy, and to laugh at the fact that if I put the AEM gears on I'd have been even more confuddled.

You must be using a 64 belt.

If you didn't see the other threads about timing it won't make much sense. Everyone said my motor was off a million degrees and whatnot, so I found TDC on piston one and it was dead on. 'Twas just to show the million people who gave me **** that I was correct the whole damn time.

And yeah, I am using a 64 belt.

That is why people think your off, because they probably aren't aware of the 64 belt.

Adam, it'll only make sense if you were in the other thread. They were saying my timing was way off because of the Fidanza gears, with the understanding that I was using the 64 belt.

Thanks Jon!

Gettin' tuned at 6 boys!

Very nice! I will be running a bigger turbo, but I will be shooting for around 450whp on 91oct and then 550whp on E85. Still very impressive on a Stock 9 turbo and pump

I will also be at 10.0:1 compression that I hope will help me get to my goal on pump with out having to run to much boost.

And this was the simplest post ever that makes it so easy and so much sense

Thanks for that Thread
