Well, it's in. Unfortunately the TOB isn't clicking into place. I can see that the wave spring and retainer clip are still there. And they compress. Kracka said to whack it with a hammer... Hopefully that does the trick.

Well, it's another sad night.
When I got home from work, I went straight to the car. I zip tied back the arm and gave it a few good whacks with the hammer. Couldn't get it too hard because the turbo is in the way. No luck. I zip tied it again and put a big flathead up through the peep hole in the bottom. Gave it some serious leverage. No pop, but it seemed to stay. I moved it around. Good stuff! I put the slave cylinder on, got in the car, pushed the pedal. Straight to the floor...
I went back to the bay, pulled the slave, wiggled the arm. This fell out:

So, I'm stumped on what to do. I have the old bearing and could swap it back in. Or I could save for a month and get a new clutch, or just buy a new TOB.
I'm sad. I was really thinking the car was going to be up 2nd week of March.

Well, things are on hold for a bit. I've decided to just get a new clutch. My first choice will be the Competition Clutch, but if I find a deal on something else that's quality in the meantime, I'll get it.
Today I'm drilling out a broken bolt from the flange to the muffler. Not fun, but necessary to get it on the car. Waiting for my injectors to come in. I need to place an order with JNZ and have some parts here when the clutch comes in, too.
I'll update when I can.

Damn Bro... sorry to hear about the set back Aggie! Shot, when my "XTD" disc (BTW everyone, DO NOT get an XTD*** possible fraud company) exploded, it took me four long months before I had enough to buy the ComptClutch Stg2... I feel your pain.
Hey, what about getting a new wedge collar? Or is your TOB bent up too?
Best of Luck, you've waited THIS long... it'll get there.

The TOB is actually broken. That piece of metal is one of the arms that goes around the clutch fork.
At this point, yeay, I'm just going to get a new clutch since I have to pull the tranny again. I got in a hurry and I shouldn't have.
Thanks, man. I know it'll be great when it's done.

Small update. I found a great condition spoiler. Picking it up next weekend. I have a small order of stuff on the way to button up a few things. I think I have my clutch situation sorted out. Next week is my anniversary (8 years). I might not get to do too much, and I'm not going to push it, but I may be able to get a few things put together. Updates when I have them!
First and fore most, Congratulations Aggie! Put first things... first.
*** Can you check if there is any play on your input shaft in the bell housing? Apparently, the combination of a new clutch, input shaft and fifth gear are causing the CEL to throw the code p0300 (random misfire). I've have this code on and off for ... dang, since I replaced the stock Exedy with that piece of crap over a year and a half ago.
On another forum the dealership replaced the input shaft and did something to the fifth gear, his misfire hasn't come back since (he mentioned having the CEL coming on over and over).
I'm really tired of erasing it just to have it return... and it DOES effect driving. Usually it happens while cruising at 3k to 3.5k, CEL pops and unless you release throttle, the Evo is like stuggleing...
*** Just trying to help you NOT get this p0300 misfire code. I didn't know about checking the input shaft until recently, frustrating because I was right there with the TOB.
Cheers,

Ordered a new TOB and wave spring today. I had to cheap out. I'll be running close to stock power for quite some time. It just wasn't good timing to do a new clutch.

A small update from my lunch break today.
When I picked up the car, the PO told me that all the fluids had just been changed. Just a few hundred miles on them. This is why you can't take someone's word for it:
Tranny fluid:

Picked up some oil for my first 50 miles of break in. $19!

Removed the broken PS line bolt and installed the stoppers. There were none in the car when I got it:

Muffler installed with new bolts and gasket:

I'm going to try to pull the transmission tonight and install my injectors. STM shipped my TOB and new wave spring today. Should be here Monday or Tuesday.
