Way to go man! I like the fact that you are doing it out of your garage! Not too many that do that anymore myself included. You must have a lot of patience to do this as to me these cars are a pain to do anything major on!
Keep up the work it's looking real good!

Thanks for the kind words! I just wish I could finish up a project. I'm in the middle of a couple. My spoiler isn't coming along real well. I started using Aircraft Stripper on it. I believe it has eaten through some of the resin. Luckily it's right next to the uprights. Maybe it won't be too noticeable. If it looks too bad I'll just wrap it or go wingless until I can find a replacement.
Now I just need to order my race BSE kit and I'll be able to get the block to the shop. Woot.

Went by the local dealership today and ordered a few random pieces to get some small projects done. It has typical 03 issues. I bought 2 bolts to add to the sunroof motor since it hangs up, revised HVAC gears, control wire, cabin filter, and screws. I also bought 2 bolts to install my trunk bar.
That'll all be here late next week. Some progress is better than nothing. Keeping my fingers crossed on a few things going on that might free up some cash for me. I'm dying to get this motor going.

Got to do a small project today that made me VERY happy. Since the day I brought the car home, I wanted to remove the aftermarket alarm system. Since the first day I hooked up a battery and had the thing deafen me, I wanted to take a sledge hammer to the speaker.
Well, I restrained myself and today I pulled the lower cover off the driver's side and started removing the wiring. It actually came out fairly easily. I went ahead and removed the Apexi turbo timer, too. I'm undecided on whether I want to put it back in or not. It has a broken knob and I'll probably just get annoyed with it.
All I need to do now is reconnect the 2 ignition wires and I'm good to go. I also got to see where I'll be installing the revised HVAC gears and cable.

Looking for a bit of info. I haven't dug into it totally, but there is a fused wire running from my battery to my fuel pump. Done by a previous owner; obviously. I was told it had a Walbro in the car, but I've installed a Walbro on a couple other cars and never used additional wiring. Any thoughts?
I'm guessing it's just a rewire. I haven't looked to see if they did a relay like the DSM guys do. I'll dig into it.

Thanks man. I'll pull the seat and make sure it was all put together well.
Also picked up a new TOB and spring from a member here. Hope he ships soon.
Also picked up a stock 8 actuator. Turbo was missing it when I bought it.

+1 homie. im doing the same thing in my garage right now too. car has been on four jack stands since july 2012. i just hope the military housing police dont see me with the door open because we arent allowed to do "WORK" on vehicles in military housing. all i have in there now is the block, tranny and tcase which is good to go now. but my head should be back next week and turbo from FP back next week as well after being converted to a BB Red. I agree with what you are saying about the typical 2003 issues. did you use stock replacement bolts on the roof, or just longer bolts?

Ordered a lower gasket set.
Came in today!
I love getting parts for the build, even if they're not that exciting. Mitsu parts came in today to do a few little projects. Revised HVAC parts, bolts for harness bar, cabin filter, sunroof bolts. ACL bearings from MAP. Slowly but surely. GSC Race BSE came in at my house. Pics later, unless I can get my wife to take one for me. Also the lower gasket set. That's everything to get the block to the shop. Here we go!
