1) Understeering in tight corners, decreasing radius areas
2) Perfect in sweeper/fast entrances
3) A little loose in slaloms
4) Totally loose in transitions where, car is loaded up on one side then needs to change directions

What tire pressures do you run? Dropping the rear pressures a bit could help with 3 and 4.

Yea, FSB to get a little less roll, maintain better camber under cornering, and dial out a little oversteer -- also like I said, may give me that "hard-line" edge I'm looking for in slaloms where I can comfortably hurl it from side to side without worrying about it biting

The Mini has the JCW FSB and Hotchkis RSB, and that car has like no roll - I really enjoy driving it. That said, it didn't have much roll to start with, or much travel for that matter... I think it nearly rides on its bumpstops lol. with the shocks at 5 clicks from soft on the Evo, I think the Evo rides better than the Mini does.

Tire pressures 38 all around on Z1s that are toast, will have to re-experiment with RE71Rs next season

that's a lot of tire pressure. especially in the rear.

are the tires rolling over to the shoulder marks?

not too much at autox. When I get the new tires I'll have to experiment where they're happiest

thanks for the info guys. what i'll do at the tnt for next year is, like you said, chalk the tires until they start to roll. I've got a nifty new digital thermometer too to measure tire temps. I've had solo storm forever but haven't really used it... hopefully I can start applying some data next year

I also have camber -2.3f/-1.5r, 0 toe all around, and I think I have 5.3* of caster with the PSRS. I haven't autocross'ed the RE11's yet. I was going to this weekend, but the ACT monoloc decided it didn't want to hold on to the TOB anymore, so I get to do yet another trans r&r this weekend.

lol! a shame to hear.

I'm ~2.7/1.6, 0 toe, and 4.6-4.8deg caster, from the CiroDesign top plates. No PSRS, heard it's not legal for STU, though I'm not totally legal anyway lol.

My high pressures stem from racing the Mini, which has -0.7 degrees of camber and needs to bump up pressures to keep the tires from rolling over so much

I run 2.8 and 1.6 on my "road race" car. People at out local autox run 3.0f or more. I can't, for the life of me, figure out why.
Especially seeing what you guys run.
Is it common for our cars to have crazy camber for AX?

The guy I go too for alignments says he would add about .75-1* more camber all around if I wanted a "race-specific" alignment. But I wanted it to be a good dual purpose alignment.

Robi suggested mine. I used to be at 2.5/1.5 but he knows better than I do LOL
However, this is based solely on my tires, and suspension. If I changed right height, tire, or anything else, I would need to consult him again.
I've learned one alignment spec doesn't work for everybody. So I'm not surprised we all have slightly different settings seeing how we have different setups.

I would really, really like to know more about suspension setups. I've always been engineer-minded so I think I would get a kick out of doing the math and tuning suspension on cars.

the most I know is from the motoiq series on suspension tuning... as far as calculating optimals, whatever. makes more sense for guys like us to go by trial end error.. definitely and interesting mental exercise though
