Transfer-Case Decided to have it rebuilt while it was out of the car.
Front diff was broken, photo courtesy of Shepherd Transmission. They've already completed a Stage I rebuild and installed a new Wavetrac LSD. Quite a speedy turn-around time!
Headliner Starting to work on miscellaneous projects while the gearbox and transfer-case are out.
There were many stains on the headliner, even after vacuuming and steam-cleaning it. I decided to wrap it in black suede. I've never undertaken a project like this before, so it was a learning experience and somewhat frustrating. I did a shoddy job of a back corner by applying too much glue, yet it still looks better than the faded and worn OEM covering.
I actually think the paint makes it look nice and clean. You can't really see the transfer-case if there is a 4g63 in the way, but with my puny motor it's quite noticeable. I do appreciate the advice about avoiding brake cleaner!
The headliner is so, so sweet. I would love to do something like that.
Thanks for the kind words. It's not expensive, just time consuming. I highly recommend you practice on a random object first. The learning curve with this type of glue and fabric is steep, but short.

Where did you get the fabric and glue? I may seriously give it a shot.
