Nice, i was expecting a longer video of you driving around and possibly shifting different gears.

Thats my ideal sound of a car. I hate loud exhausts with a passion.

How was the non power steering feel with so much weight taken off the front? I remember when I deleted the power steering it was the worst driving experience and quickly re installed it. The difficulty level to turn the steering was pretty much the exact same when at a complete stop and when moving . My friends civic back in the day was perfectly fine when rolling, but I quickly learned thats not the case with the Evo!

Unfortunately I didn't have my camerawoman, so I had to set up all the shots which was too tedious for a video of any decent length. Once I sort out a few issues, I'll post a video of normal driving.

The lack of power steering on the Evo really isn't that bad. The R888s aren't helping, but I intend to swap some lower roll-resistance tires on for daily duty. The only car I can compare it to is a Toyota Supra I once drove with no power steering. The heavy iron 2JZ block and 275 front tires made it a nightmare, but the Evo is no where near that level of ridiculous.

Hell yeah! BTW I'm pretty close to having an OEM modified EPS column done and working, draws 65 amps at full lock. Maybe something you're interested in? Im in Raleigh as well.

I'm very interested to learn more about your EPS setup. Not sure I'd put one on my car right now, I actually like the feel w/o PS.

Meh.. my current situation with a dead power steering pump and 255s... moving form a standstill is a serious pain.

Have you looked into the Buschur Racing EPS kit?

Inspection Preparations
have commenced

Old windshield was cracked badly from the collision, so it had to be replaced.

Once you get around to upping the kW aka torque and get nervous about the tcase there's a ginormous brace that Jon TRE assembled on several tcases for drag cars, it's on his facebook.
