Why do you think it's warped?

I don't, but it was a pretty big issue so I was looking to have it replaced proactively. I check it every time I have the turbo out.

I just got the injectors back. These are FIC Bluemax 1450cc Low-Z. I guess they looked a lot worse then they performed, but I'm sure spray pattern suffered.

How does you 1450 flow 1540cc and my 1650 flow 1400cc? These ratings are nuts.

I was looking at that too. I noticed on your paperwork it said something about running them at 80% duty cycle? If thats the case then perhaps FIC flowed mine at 100%.

I don't think that's it. They have that on all their printouts. I had them clean my oem injectors. All ended up 560cc. I originally had them clean their 1200cc injectors and they got it back to 1200cc (and stated that was done at 55psi...cheaters ).

When I got my 1650's I think the included paperwork said they flowed 1560 or something like that.

Maybe RC replaced with too fine of filter where it's more restrictive?

Yeah. I just think its funny how the "advertised" flow of most injectors doesn't really match actual.

It's super common in the electronics world. Just post the highest numbers regardless of the context. It doesn't matter that the amp can only supply 1000 watts for .8 seconds it will still be advertised as a 1000 watt amp. Thats why you always have to dig deeper and if something seems too good to be true it probably is.

Yes, but Kenwood usually rates everything the same way. These are all FIC injectors!

That's a good point. I haven't payed too much attention to the high Z stuff so I don't know how different vendors stack up with each other.

quick update, all the parts are in and I'm starting to put things back together. Cams went in yesterday. I'm going to put in a strong effort to try and get it back up and running this weekend. While I had the pan out i thought it would be a good time to install an oil temp sensor. Has anyone used one of these before or have any opinions on them? I was planning on having a bung welded in, but this seemed more practical.

I'll post more progress pics in a little bit.

I don't know if you have one but I prefer an oil pressure sensor. Oil pressure sensor is installed on the oil filter housing using the AMS remote oil pressure relocation line.

Looks like you might be mounting the oil temperature sensor to the drain plug?
