that tyres not delaminated. its just worn out. the inside edge has gone through to the carcas layer and it needs to go in the bin. prob shouldn have been out there on a tire like that haha. Its the same spot that all my tires go first also it must just be the way evos put the load through and how much camber we use etc.

Looks like you got lucky with the engine bay damage. Do the measurements see what comes back. its quite a simple thing to do with a tape measure and 2 people.

I had my rad support stoved in like that and we just used a scissor jack and a block of wood to straighten it haha.

will do. i assume it needs to be mm close for all that stuff. even if it's close, i'm sure something is far off cuz the windshield wiper plastic can't align on the passenger's side.

tire wasn't like that when i went out, must have happened that day. none of the other tires have that wear either. fresh tires for 2020 on my list

umm it needs to be close ish i guess? depends how much you like even panel gaps. if its within say 5mm or even 10mm i wouldnt worry much about it. its if your out of square by like 30mm or 50mm then uve got an issue

I’m surprised to see the tire wearing quicker on the inside edge. Do you street drive the car on these tires? Maybe the toe was way off for some reason.

sorry for the delay - small amounts, but tire wear isn't from street driving.

car is officially dropped off at ohare auto body. the bumper i got was trash, the hood was not in pristine shape, and the fenders need to be repainted too so i didn't really save a lot there, but they were pretty certain the damage was minor (save for the rear quarter panel) - so, hopefully she will be as good as new soon

The assumption on any used body part is that it will need painted. Hopefully you negotiated prices accordingly. Probably still saved a lot vs new parts.

Stoked to see the process getting started on bringing her back

yea saved a bit - however, the shop said the bumper has been repainted over and over, so to strip the paint and repaint it, vs getting a new one at-cost, will pretty much be a wash here. hopefully the fenders are still good. hood should be in good shape, just missing some paint, not sure how. probably should have just went new, but it's all right

FWIW - the shop started making some preliminary measurements - front end is, of course, definitely tweaked. shop confirmed that the frame rails have sway, and the RH rail buckled a little... They don't seem to think it is a big deal though, and are going to start pulling next week. They prefer me to grab an OEM crash beam for them to use, so I'm on the hunt for one now.

That's really minor. Yank it straight and send it.

thankfully minor, i really got lucky here.

it's just where that seam opens up, correct?

still searching for an oem crash beam to use to straigthen the frame, but if it ends up being like 150 bucks i might as well just tell him to go for it with the stm beam
