Looking at pulling the trigger on a used BBk locally from someone that does alot of business with CBRD. If the XL is inbetwween a HTA green and red then I will inquire about an upgrade patyh for BBK Full owners. If its not terrible I will be first in line.

I only said that because it seems the BBK Full makes slightly more power than a Green while spooling like stock. The Green is a bit laggier. 500RPM or so. So one would think if you could apply the same design concepts to a slightly larger housing able to flow more air that you may only add 500RPM or so of lag while flowing more like a Red and making similar power. I was all set on the BBK but I could deal with a little more lag over stock for significant gains. Ultimately I would like to make 400whp on CBRDs dyno on 93 only. My stock turbo numbers are in my sig on this same dyno.

Not to mention the BBK makes a bit more power. If this new turbo spools like a Green with power of a Red I think we have the new ultimate street turbo.

I also have heard Chad say a Red is "basically a 35R". Well then I assumed the Red flowed around 65lb/min but in fact it is really around 57. The BBK Full is said to be about 50lb/min as per a discussion with Chad. So will this new turbo be bigger than a Red? Smaller? I just want to see if they apply their BBK design technology to a bigger snail how will it compare to the FP products like when comparing the Green to BBK Full. I know I am stating the obvious questions/comments here but I am just so damn excited for this thing! I am glad I waited to upgrade and can't wait till spring for a big build project!!!
All the comparisons ive read show the hta green and bbk full spool almost the same. and the green actually makes a touch more power when really pushed!! and even tho im in the middle of getting my hta green tuned, i can say its hard to keep this thing out of boost. It spools almost as fast as my stocker .. None the less, im excited to hear more about this new turbo. I got a stock IX turbo sitting around now waiting to get converted to either this or an FP BLACK

Any of them 2.0L VIIIs with stock (albeit ported) intake manis? Seems guys running the basic bolt ons, ported intake mani and 65mm TB, BR Race fmic, maybe even a dump pipe (JM Fab or whatever) are still in the 370s to 380s on that Mustang.

Also, I was referring to the old Green, not the newer HTA Green. I havent been on the boards much in '09 so I didnt realize they got this thing to where it is. I remember when the "old" HTA Green came out it was to be between the size of the stock IX and Green for increased spool and not many people bought it as it didnt make enough power gains to justify the cost. But now I see after some searching that they have a HTA Green that does seem to compare to the BBK.

I thought the FP black does not use the stock housing therefore, how can they convert your 9 turbo into a black?

I believe it uses the stock center and turbine housing but is fitted with the fp 80mm inlet compressor housing. Simliar to the same optional housing for the red.
