Thanks smogrunner, I was not aware of the big difference between the two dyno's readings. I know Mustang dyno's read alot lower than Dynojet, but I had not heard too much about Vishnu's (DynoDynamics I think?)

So a car that puts down 350 hp on Vishnu's dyno would read alot higher on Buschur's?

Thanks,

A Dyno Dynamics reads lower than anything else, followed by a Mustang, followed by typical 4wd Dynojets, and 2wd Dynojets give the highest numbers.

A car delivering a measured 350whp on Vishnu's or Dyno4mance's dyno will record over 400whp on a 4wd Dynojet.

Surprised the heck out of us. The most we ever expect to make on 91oct is 300-320whp. Maybe there is something to those 280 cams afterall

cheers,

This is just incredible. Shiv you have done it again. Was there any other mods on the car at all(fmic, etc)? So the 3071 turbo with the adapter is all you'll need (no downpipe/o2 housing mod, etc)? Will 660CC injectors be more than sufficient to support such a set up or will 680CC injectors be recommended? Do you think the intake manifold contributed significantly to these result? Any ballpark figure of what this turbo with the Vishnu turbo adapter will cost?

And to add even more $.02 to this, a DD dyno does not seem to put as much of a load on the car at lower rpms when compared to an AWD Dynojet. If you look at the torque/hp curves your average Evo generates then you will usually see a nice torque "hump" at ~3200-4000rpms on an AWD Dynojet, whereas the torque curve will be much flatter on a DD.

flatter torque curve = less load ... I thought that's what I said

So, bottom line, anyone know how much more power this turbo going to make over the stock turbo on pump and race gas given a similar setup to this car?

Maybe I missed it - but what is the A/R on this turbo? .62? .83?

Thanks,

This thing looks so sweet.. it looks like the standard AMS lower IC pipe upgrade, which i already have... and if its able to bolt up to a standard 02 housing and downpipe then this kit has achieved an incredible performance value (highest to date) while still maintaing much of the original engineering of the car!

My AMS lower IC pipe doesn't look anything like the one piece pipe in Shiv's pic.

It all depends on what you're going for. From what I can tell the AMS kit is more of a no-compromise kit and would probably be the choice if you're looking to race and use race gas maps extensively. The Vishnu kit looks like it will be a very nice choice if you are looking for a pump gas monstAr. Either way, Martin at AMS should be able to tune the setup - IIRC he should have no problems with tuning an XEDE, although he'll probably try to sell you on the AEM
