Yes - that is good reading indeed

Maybe Shiv was out of his league over there ? On the deep end of the pool ?

Oh...give me a break, nice setup for Al the grammar queen Jim. Do you guys wear masks when you tag-team wrestle?

I actually love that quote from shiv about dsms and I have owned six of them!

It's really in poor taste. Your only goal here is to get the last word in and confuse the issue enough so that people don't actually read everything you write. Because if they did, it would paint a picture that you probably don't want them to see. Now please, post up the info that we've been asking of you for the last few days and stop with your disingenuous questioning motives. You are so far out of your league on this forum that it's almost painful trying to see you play in the deep side of the swimming pool. Please post up that info or just keep quiet. My God, you are irritating.

If I was so irritating then you would not provoke dialouge with me by making misleading and fraudulent dyno comparisions which are casting my product and services in a negative light

By this time your reputation and product would surely have raised you up to such a high level of business and success that you would be so busy you would not even have time to waste attacking other vendors to promote yourself

Appaarently your business model includes promoting through negative maketing

Kind of like a political campaign

Furtrthermore, you would not insult myself and Buschur with obnoxious insults

How is your forum the so called "deep side of the swimming pool?"

What is so "deep" about anything you are doing over here ? I will leave it to the members and customers to decide what "deep" thought you have over here

Maybe when you have a chance you will share with your ardent supporters your opinion on the subject of what makes for a good tune and why has detuned the cars so significantly from the factory

Then you can explain your methods of saftguarding the car which is the subject of this thread from destructive knock when you are tuning as 23 psi of boost and 12/1 a/f ratio on 91 octane

I am sure that many would be interested to discover HOW that tune can be safe ?

12.1? where is that on the graph? I see how you possibly maybe think its 12.1 at the onset of spool, but guess what, it doesn't matter there.

Since you decided to make this crap up about shiv's AFR tuning, how about you take some time to explain your beautiful AFR curves on your tune here:

AL!!! STOP USING THIS ARGUMENT!

I quoted you already on this any you KEEP GOING BACK. You said your car had a boost leak and was causing the car to boost 3psi too low. If you add 3psi to your tune, your tune would be boosting HIGHER than Shiv's. So YOU'RE the one with the crazy boost, or you're both equally crazy.

Furthermore, Shiv's tune was RICHER than yours!!! And considering a boost leak should cause the car to run rich already, your tune must have been super-lean from the get-go.

The customer has chimed in many times in this thread. He hasn't mentioned a knock problem yet. If it doesn't knock, is the tune considered safe? Has the customer complained of knock and I missed it in this thread? Are you forecasting a knock event in the future?

Here is the indication of the lean area at 3800

Here we can see the high boost level and a slight "dip" after 4,000 indicating possible knock indcued timing retard

The best way for the customer to measure knock would be to log his ignition timing and record how much timing the ecu is pulling then rest the ecu by disconnecting the battery and listen for knock with some snap on chassis ears or with some sort of knock gauge

My God, I can't believe you actually believe the things you say sometimes and have so much time on your hands. Gotta get back to work.... Catch ya later Al.

There is NO right way and worng way to tune a car

Its all down to experience and judgement

I am just saying that I dont tune for 23 psi and 12/0 on pump gas

Again - What makes a "good tune"

How does margin of saftey factor into the discussion

How much of a margin of saftey is included with a tune that agressive on 91 octane ?

Over the years I have seen time and time again - over and over when anyone presses you to the subject and puts you on the spot

You dont explain yourself - you dont discuss the matter

This is how you react

" "

Maybe I will use that on you for a day or so >?

Got to get back to work - I am now tuning the world's most powerful USA spec Evo IX

Of course I have no clue how MIVEC works so it prob wont make much power

Back to work - very busy
