After a couple of a couple of track events I decided I needed to have a lot smoother tip in and partial throttle behavior. So I had Christian spend 3 or 4 hours doing partial throttle and tip-in tuning. Well worth the expense for the track. I'm very impressed with how smooth partial throttle is at all RPMs. Difference at the track was very noticeable.
I'm going to go back and have him do another map for race gas that I can load at the track. Cobb is also building an enclosed dyno room that can be adjusted to sea level pressures. I'm just waiting for that to be finished to have him do the race gas tune.
wideband o2 to the EMS. I also have the AEM UEGO A/F display. There new serial gauge setup is very interesting. The configuration options through software are outstanding. I like my DEFI gauges, but if I was buying now I'd get the AEM. Setting alarm thresholds based on numerous conditional variables is such a great option. For example, you can set oil pressure alarms based on a range of conditional values ... any variable available to the EMS including RPM. I'd like to be able to set low pressure alarm much higher for higher RPMS. For example, my low pressure alarm on the Defi is currently set to 1.5 bar, which makes sense for idle. At 9,000 RPM I want a low pressure alarm at 3 bar.
Now that Christian is no longer at Modern ... and Cobb is only doing work on Subbies ... I'm looking for another shop to do work on my car. Eric left Modern to go to work at Cobb as well.
I'm having Utah Imports do some work on the old F20c. I'll see how that goes and may end up taking the car there for mechanical. Christian will still do all my tuning. For track setup details and questions, I'm relying on the S2000 track hounds ... so I really just need someone for mechanical stuff.

there are actually some really good tuners around here that know the aem well i'm sure rob can hook you up with a few people if you can't get christian to do it.

Jake and I are confirmed for the Cobb Tuning day at MMP.
When I called Cobb to do some work on my car, the answer was only subbies at this point. For dyno tuning, I'm sure Christian will do anyone. He's a *****.
